Ok I've been looking around on here for lst I'm trying to get a better understanding of how to do it I know you tie it down but what does this do and how lond do you do it for thanks

I dont understand what you are asking.

dude it keeps top down so bottom can grow up . alows you to get even growth.mostly used in collaberation with limited height. look it all over the forums and in the faqs up top!

heres a little illustration. Notice that the lst plant recieces mor light to the plant and that the new growth at the internodes will grow straight up. To do it start when the plant is young and is more easily bent because the stem is thin. To do it rill holes in the top of your bucket and use strings to to tie the branches down or use like paer clips or something to pin the plant to the ground.

How long do I keep it tied down

just keep it tyed down it won't hurt it it just changes the way it grows. check out this thread there are some really nice plants.
