yeah definitly, also i've seen a guy named rastadred i believe his name is and from what I've seen. He knows his shit when it comes to this time of the plants life.Its weird looking haha some of the little tiny "loop" looking leaves...donoo if i cut those off haha i don't see it on the bud i pick up so i guess so
I'll wait for Homer and chief to come take a look, they seem to know when to harvest pretty good ;P

Guys just so i have everything like known or ready or whatever ima run through the steps of drying/curing and tell me if i am wrong
3day darkness
chop, hang upside down 3 days
trim it and put in brown bag with brown paper scraps over it for 1-2 days
put in my plastic rubbermaid for curing and burp it every day
Does that sound right?
ALSO, just turned off the lights. 3 long days ahead of me.
I'm guessing 72 hours will be the 23rd at around 11pm? Ah i suck at math.

hey man, sorry couldn't check in earlier. sounds good, i say she's ready for darkness!
couple tips on trimming / drying / curing is...
- easier if you do the trimming first before drying (save all the trim especially the stuff close to the bud in a paper bag, you can make hash or butter with it)
- when you hang the main cola to dry, have it in darkness, with TINY amount of airflow (to avoid mold) but no direct ventilation
- check it after 2 days of drying, since she's so small it might dry quicker than you think
- then for curing, the amount of burping depends on how damp or dry it is, you're gonna have to play it by ear
i've heard mixed things about curing in tupperware, if you can find a glass jar i think you'd be better off, but if you can't not a huge deal.

I'm glad to hear you are going with the darkness. you won't be disappointed. I like to trim right after the chop but many others hang then trim. i like to vape so i trim right away. and when you hang, it doesn't NEED to be upside down. It's not like the THC will flow downhill, it's already in there. but let it air out till it's a little crunchy on the outside but still a little squishy on the inside.... like fried chicken! hahaha then seal it up and burp.

I might trim it first before i hang it, depends on if i have anything i have to do or not. I thought that it was supposed to have air flow on it or whatever to NOT cause mold lol, *confused*
I'll keep it a little bit above the fans so the fans aren't blowing on it.
I hope nothing goes wrong with curing in tubberware..or i'd be angry lol reallll angry
Yeah i read a lot about it and i read that one thing where it said it grows the most or 30% or whatever the 3 days. only reason im hanging upside down is because im gonna hang it by the stem lol.. or could i just lay it on a rack?

Appreciated Lee, Becky looked great i can see why you couldnt wait hah! I don't know if i'll be able to wait either... I'll try to. Also, i might keep the trimmings i haven't decided yet.. how much does it take to make butter or whatever? or something like that?

Hanging as in like hanging from the rack? Or setting on the rack lol..i think you mean the first one. Also you said best to have air all the way around it, where as Homer said it's bad and will cause mold. very confused now lol

hey man i'm always happy to help out other good riu'ers with whatever knowledge i've picked up from other good riu'ers before me.
and yeah, that's what i meant about ventilation. a little air flow is good but too much can make it dry too quick. your current setup sounds just right!
edit: just to clarify... ventilation will not cause mold! in fact, it will help avoid mold. however, you don't want TOO much wind directly on the buds because that makes them dry too quick. that's all, hope that made sense.

sorry, i worded that wrong... i meant to say go with the hanging as apposed to using the rack. i can understand where it was confusing.... over the rack on the rack.... what?@?!@?!?!?! hahahaha
but yes, hang it by a string or something and like homer said, just make sure the air isn't stale and the drying area is not sealed up, let it have a little ventilation. the best thing is to check on it regularly and inspect it for any signs of mold. but it's gonna feel pretty wet for the first couple days, that is normal. and it will shrink a little to( i know, it sucks).

Yeah man it was a bit confusing hahaha all good now though, i plan on drying in the box it grew in. I will have the 2 intake fans on and the exhaust fan, and it'll be hung a little bit above the intake fans so it wont be getting direct air. Think that will be good enough?
I hope it doesn't shrink too much..lol idk if ill get my 10g i was wanting...
edit: also lol when do i put it in the brown paper bag for more drying? after the 2 or so days of hanging right?

yea, the shrink part sucks. i always lose about 70-80% weight after the dry/cure. but as for your drying area, you wouldn't even need the intake fans.... just an exhaust would give you enough.... the slower the dry, the smoother the smoke! and if you let it in there till the outside is a little crispy then you won't even need the paper bag.

I hope i don't even need the paper bag then, so as soon as the outside gets crispy cut it up and throw in the thing to cure

I have had my weed in jars for two days now. I burp them regularly and check the smell and buds for any sign of mold. It stays moist awhile. I have placed the larger buds in oen jar they will cure longer and all of the smaller buds in another jar. Trying to keep the cure rates the same. My wife says this NL smells CLEAN like walking in a field of freshness..lmao..no she wasnt stoned. I have noticed a huge distinction in taste and smokability from the beginning till even today. The weed has gotten much smoother even yet. I can only imagine it getting better and better.
