what can i say.... got made redundant yesterday, dont have a clue what to do. no jobs, no money, running out of weed, plants ages away.

i think this is the end. im screwed.

had to get it off my chest, cant imagine any1 else is in the same situation as me.

have a family to look after, a house, a car, supposed to be getting married in july, supposed to be going on a honeymoon, was supposed to be getting a new car..... bongsmiliebongsmilie :joint::joint: :roll:

Just lost my job as well with a baby on the way and a mortgage to pay. Gotta keep your head up bro, being depressed is not going to help. You've got a girl and a family that loves you. Like Boneman said, you'll get the car and go on the honeymoon when things are better.

Honestly though, most marriages end within the first 3-5 years... So put it off a bit for the sake of finances, because it would suck to waste all that money now and find out you had to struggle for something that didn't work anyhow. (Not to say your marriage wont work, but financial stress IS one of the most popular reasons for marital problems)... The odds are against you.

Just get your ass looking for another job man, jobs are opening up again. Don't panic about it and just start looking right away and get some interviews sorted out. You'll be fine

I lost my job recently but remember when a door shuts a window usually opens :)

I also agree with GrowTech, marriage is terrible when money becomes a concern. Sorry to hear about your bad news, just hang in there and keep positive.

Oh Yeah, a lot of people in the same, AND worse situations. With the PC., jobs comes to you via e-mail alerts. Not like it use to be, spend each day driving around from place to place with want-adds for only info.
Now is the BEST time to see into the future with the Marriage Partner. How material stress is allowed to effect the Marriage. 'RULE... "A Spouse, Employer or Business Partner will ONLY do one of two things. They will build you up or drag you down. There is no in between." When a marriage couple works to built the other partner up... that is a force to be reckoned with, an all the BS problems that erode other people's marriage looks like what it really is... just plain silly shit. Jobs are a dime a dozen, but a mature Spouse is a rare thing. Good Luck.

Sorry to hear, theres lots of people going through the same thing as you right now. Get your spending down to only the necessities and try to get as many interviews as possible. Good luck man hopefully things turn around for you.

I have been in the situation for 6 months... I got layed off cause our buinsness went under, los tmy place, lost my car, no money, not much food, no money for clothes, I nothing but this internet, and living at an older bros house loosing my mind, oh and no toke and no cigs.. and I smoke cigs, this has been hell

I'll do the Wife died when Business shut down, leaving Me in the middle of nowhere, no job, no vehicle, no Wife and somebody killed & skinned my Baby Puppy, leaving the little feet & head, & threw the hide in my driveway. Then a bust. Is that 2 or 3 Verses for a song? It's Spring Time, & I'm not in Prison. So things could be worse.... What's the next verse to the perfect C & W Song?

i dont know what the uks version of unemployment is, but i would try and get it. i know a lot of people who have been on it lately due to the fact that the worlds economy is slowly circling the drain before it disappears. most people get between 315 -350 usd a week which isnt bad for sitting on your ass.. just keep your head up man! i didnt have a job, weed, cigs money, or anything. i had to move back in with my parents and started to go crazy. i wanted to die for about five months until i moved to colorado and started life over. now my shit is better than it has ever been before..!! you gotta believe!!

Shit man that blows, my place has just announced 1200 redundencies as well, I'm going to quit anyway.

Keep your chin up.....and grow more weed, thats what I'm going to do.

Think of it this way, at least now you wont have to spend your days doing boring shit to make someone else rich.... you can do what YOU want to do.

It'll be alright, society won't let you and your wife and kid starve or sleep on the street while you work it out.

Blah, you can add me to the list of unemployed now. Thats twice this year I lose out because of slumping business this year. I've got savings for a bit so im relying on finding something within the next month....

i just wanted to post a quick rant about what ive had to do.

first of all this countrys benefits is so fucked up its unreal.


so heres the deal. lost my job on the monday. now i was working a second job for about a month. so i thought, ok, at least some money coming in. then i try to claim my insurance on my mortgage, payment protection thing.

they said i have to get the whole form filled in, which is basicly a section for me to fill in, a section for my old boss to fill in and a section from the job centre (benefits ppl), so i go to the job centre, an say fill this in. and there like, so what benefits are u on... i said none, u wont give me any....

so then that means i cant claim on my payment protection. so heres what i had to do..

i had to drop hours! down below 16 a week. then i could claim benefits, then i could get my form filled in and then they should cover my payments for about 6 months... how stupid. there making me DROP hours!!! i thought they wanted ppl to work so they wouldnt have to give benefits! its fucked up.

oh and to the guy who mentioned about the UK jobs.... depending what industry ur in, espessially mine, there is none! or none within my travelling range.

and to the ppl who lost there jobs... there are ways round it like i have found out. hack at ur benefits for everything there worth!!

My brother just lost his job. He has a mortgage, kids, wife...the whole nine....

What benefits are you looking at to get you some benefits? Maybe I can pass this along to him.
