If you can connect a few wires you can get a much better light for the same price as a Mars TSL 2000.

- 2 HLG QB96's = $138
- HLG-320H-54A driver = $87
- wire/connectors = approx $20
- pair of hangers on amazon = $6
GRAND TOTAL = $251
TOTAL WATTAGE = dimmable up to 345watts
Very efficient. Upgradable. Warrantied by a US based company with great customer service. 20 minutes to put it together. Much more light output per watt than Mars stuff.

@MarsHydrofactory
I can vouch for the Elite 96's. Have not had any plant issues under them & each time i use them it seams im breaking my own records or satisfied beyond with the results.
I cannot say i have hd this success with QB's but have had some.
The 96 Elites is the easiest, most grower friendly fixtures i have. They could use dimmers & im on that now. Aside from that & maybe needing to relace a plastic diode protector if it fades is all there is to worry about. The plants seamed to love the 96's..this past run buds froma suoer healthy plant grew to close to the pads & were recieving 22-2700 micromohles with no bleaching or ill effects. That's a first from my leds.
I recommend getting the 96, 320 Elite or the DIY version but do not go past 300w to maintain a 2.0+ umol/j. The 360's are ran a bit hard IMO.

What changed is their lighting.
You're right, we'll run through the full grow. Then we can call things as we see them.
Allot of you guys excited to see the next less expensive QB all the time, have any of you considered the huge depreciation values that most will lose in 2 yrs do to poor Thermal Mngmt?
Goes for almost all the QB Style lights except the few that cared to properly sink up & apply a thermal conductive paste to the bottom. Like maybe HLG. Even they coukd do better with their thermal mngmt IMHO. Otherwise i feel many of you are getting the "Oh Wow Disease". Its so bright "today" . Just wait.
All yall take your 12" center measurement now. Write it on blue painters tape w/ the date & stick to your boards.
Use same light measuring device each yr at this time to see how your diodes are holding up to possibly high heat levels.
Lower costs do not justify short term use IMO.

You might be right, but if you figure these boards are fucking10"X20" ran at 150w, WITH thermal material between the board AND the metal housing it's mounted to, I'd say it's MORE than adequate.

I am a year in the boards and have no changes besides a little dust from when I opened the box. I have checked a few times on PAR readings and nothing has changed.

Any thoughts on this one?
There are now hundreds of people selling these knock off boards , lots have a very good rep and some have bad reps, I haven't heard of that company , kingbrite or meiju are the most trusted of all those sellers.

As far as knowing what specs you need, any 240w kit using meanwell driver and Samsung 301b or h diodes will light a 2x4 really well, the rest its just fancy stuff that has yet to be proven to be worth the extra cost IMO.

Damn Son! VeryNice work!!!
But common now, that ain't fair. You can do the same with HLG or a knockoff. Might need more power or lower board to doit but you know what i mean.
Chunka-Dunk Boyy!
I will say, as niceas they are, they appear to be grown under white led.maybe a splash of reds?
Heavily Enhanced , just started chop. Few colas missing here. 20200115_203244.jpgWhite 1/2 way through chop.20200115_211845.jpgWhite just kept growing do to lack of red & ir. But after flushing for so long & dropping temps a lil to low (compromising leaves), i had to cut her. Couldve unnaturally gone another week. Created very dense colas but the foxtails or better to describe as new growth sites & white hairs kept in coming. Trichs were behind schedule too.

thing about inexpensive china led diode panels..you can buy so many..run em soft..not worry about" thermal management"
.....and spread em out

Agreed, If talking thre DIY route. Im referring to the majority of manufactured passively cooled fixtures that carry HE labels nowadays. Whether strips, bars or boards.
