Please surprise us with some pics, I just can't imagine that GG4 is ready after 6 weeks lol
Oh fuck.
LoL
I'm sorry.
Jeeze, I AM stupid.

NOT SIX WEEKS.
Eight weeks.
**hanging head**
I'm embarrassed ...
o_O

No wonder you were scratching your head and saying, "huh?"
I don't chop my gg4 until end of week 10 sometimes end of week 11 depending on my time constraints

I will go through the math ...

TEN WEEK RUN
12 - 1000 Watt lights produce 35 lbs.
35 lbs sells for $1600/lb or $56,000.
In one year, we will get about 5 turns for a yearly gross income of $280,000.

EIGHT WEEK RUN
12-1000 Watt lights produce 30 lbs.
30 lbs sells for $1600/lb or $48,000.
In one year, we will get six turns for a yearly gross income of $288,000.

That is $8k per year, per room additional income for doing an eight week run.

Since there are no professional growers at this site, at least none that I've talked to (though I suspect Renfrew is a pro) I expect a half dozen peeps tell me how stupid I am, oh, and a liar too.

But, these ARE real numbers.
And, the person buying that bag doesn't give two shits if its ten weeks or eight. She doesn't care if it was fed natural bat crap. She tests for THC content, absence of PM and weight. That's it.
She's a pro.
It's not even your thread, why are you getting so upset? For someone who is supposedly "recently laid", (like we give a shit) you sure are an uptight fella

So I just did my first scrog and I’m just trying to find some strains that will work well. The lemon og I did the nugs stretched a lot and the gorilla bomb was decent but I think I need to keep practicing the scrog technique. I’ve considered Bodhi and Dinafem and Ethos these are the ones I’m hoping to grow strains from

I always come back to White Widow when this question comes up. Every plant isn't the same, but I had a great phenotype of WW from G13labs. I got a single seed as a freebie and to this day it was one of the best plants I"ve grown. I kept it around for over 4 years, and grew it in both soil, and hydro. In my Hydro SOG I was getting nearly an oz per single cola plant, and it was very high grade smoke that everyone asked for more of. My plant was a sativa dom hybrid that made big thick buds coated in resin that had the delicious WW funk. I typically had to harvest them at 9 weeks to prevent mold issues(I was growing in a damp basement at the time) but they could have used 11.

I might also add that 8k per year for the work/cost of running a whole extra cycle doesn't seem like that much of a huge bonus. Why not cut it another week earlier and add a 7th turnover. Even if you lost a few more pounds per run it could net you a higher gross income? If you could pull 27lbs in 7 weeks, and get 7 turnovers, you would gross $302,000.......... Based on your grow logic you have shared I just made you an additional $14000 a year :).

As far as the average person buying it, if you don't think people care if they get more or less high then you are crazy. Growers that don't care about finishing plants, and would rather do "one more turn per year" are the whole reason that most commercial weed sucks. Growing big time doesn't make you cooler, or better if you are growing lower quality product like most large scale producers.

exactly my thoughts. small additional income for the work and for having unfinished bud all the time.

Chefs don't work for McDonald's and they wouldn't brag on it if they did. If I worked for 98% of these large ops I wouldn't tell anyone I sold my soul for $16 an hour. Seems like he's proud of it all, that's what confuses me.

let's produce MORE of a lower quality product" attitude.
"Lets produce MORE" ... is more like my attitude.

take ANOTHER look at the title of this thread

As long as the THC content is there, no PM, cured right, trimmed tight ... it IS all about weight.
I will make my money OWNING a McDonalds, then go to DiMacurio's for steak and lobster.

I give my buyers what they want - not what I think they need.

I know the title of the thread, thus why my first comment was completely about the OP thanks ;).

Unfortunately, you are completely lying to yourself or totally oblivious to quality if you think those plants are just as good at 8 weeks as they are at 10. The pictures you posted of your buds at harvest were premature, that's why growing them for 2 more weeks yields 5 more lbs per run, because the plant isn't done growing at 8 weeks dude. lmao.

I didn't start my comments towards you by attacking you. I proposed a very valid business plan for you to try to make an extra 14k a year.

Yes, at eight weeks the plants are immature.
So what?

I provide to my buyers WHAT THEY WANT.
And, they the same buyers every time.
Standing order .. . they buy all we can produce IF it meets their requirements.
And, as it has been pointed out already, I get top dollar for it.
What's wrong with that?
