Looking for a decent scope.

Any suggestions?

I have considered the 420 scope but can not for certain find out which is the real deal (about 5 different looking packaging and other issues on ebay alone).

Also, a friend bought a little scope that was supposed to be a 420 scope but the thing was tiny, the lens was extremely small, the depth of field was terribly shallow and focusing/zooming was a pain.

Please point me in the right direction :)

I hear that a 30x-40x jewelers loupe is the easiest to use for checking trichs around the plant.

I usually use my camera to take close up pics and then zoom in on the trichs :p

you get what you pay for. I own 3 or 4 420 scopes and they work great. A little hard to focus but it does the job and at 10.00 a great deal.

I meant to mention that if you look through binoculars backwards they are great at magnification.

I have a pair of 8 X 32 Bushnells that work great, just need to provide adequate light. They actually work better and easier than the little loupe.

I used to have a mic that attached to my I-phone, think it was 80-100x. Didn't need to use it with phone but you could also get some good pics of the trichs with it. Picked it up on e-bay/amazon for next to nothing.
