I’m in California so things operate a lil different out here weed is like a cigarette or jaywalking I thought Canada was the same way
Yes and no, lol. Most cops here will "not notice" one or two extra plants. When your plant count gets higher and starts to look like you're growing for sale, they start to pay attention. The federal law is like a minimum standard, and provinces are free to set tighter restrictions. For example, federally the legal age for weed is 18, however some provinces have set it higher. You can walk down the sidewalk smoking a joint and no-one bats an eye, but take one step into a park and it's illegal. Most cops will just tell you to but it out, or finish it on the sidewalk. It's pretty relaxed, but that's because most people keep it legal.
If he is that good, why not cut a deal with the legal plot. Too easy and I'd reward a valued employee. No liability and more loyalty. Now I'm skeptical.
They have legal limits and inspections. Some facilities lost their licenses for having too many plants. If they got caught letting an employee grow a personal crop at their facility, they'd get shut down. Not to mention the loss of space for their crop would cut into their profits.
I don't know how it is in other provinces, but here in Ontario unless you're a professional LP, you're not facing inspections unless your neighbours call in a complaint. If you're growing 200 plants like some of the illegal grows in Brant county that made the news recently, they'll complain.
