Lockdown is working well in London, the numbers have skyrocketed since we did it, We are now at over 800 deaths per day. In London the population density is extreme with ordinary people living in very close proximity, many breathing the same air. Thank god the exponential graph is now flattening at just over 800 deaths per day, damn that irritating linear graph showing a peak.
In all seriousness there is no binary position regarding whether lockdowns work or not, in low density populations they are implemented early enough ( didn’t happen), in high density populations they have little effect. The gold standard imo is track and trace, antibody tests with people observing social distancing and hygiene diligence.
Economic collapse will bring more death and misery, we need to use science to guide us back to work not some medieval no exit strategy mass quarantine.
