Lockdowns don't work.

Lockdowns don't work because they generate many unintended consequences that are worse than the disease for most people. These include other health issues being neglected, staying indoors is unhealthy and so is a perpetual state of induced stress.

Lockdowns crush individual liberty, but also create a normalizing of the idea that when they say jump, we say "how high" . Knowing the hotspots of resistance and general level of obedience versus disobedience of a population is a good way to size people up for the next "emergency" and there will be one, if this one succeeds.

Lockdowns may not be designed to work only from a virus containment point of view, they may be designed to limit people from gathering and discussing things, like the recent trillions of dollars from heaven miracle and general fomentation of dissent etc. Even if it's a coincidence, the result is the same.

An unprecedented debt expansion just happened, and owned corporate media is talking about clorox and identity politics. Very telling.

I think the lockdowns are needed to a certain extent like not overwhelming healthcare's availability. Other than that we'll see after the dust clears and possibly have the data to say one way or another. I like this doctor's views on this, fairly logical IMO.

Well that's the whole point of the lockdowns. That's why they use "flatten the curve" as the primary rhetoric. The idea is to graph new cases per day logarithmically and keep the apex of the curve below that line prepresenting healthcare capacity.

That's actually the global strategy. It doesn't work.

The CDC tracks the progress of this epidemic using number of deaths due to the virus.
Oh, cool, then maybe you can explain why Italy had its highest death tolls during the lockdown and just had it's record lowest since around the start of the lockdowns today, even though they eased those lockdowns almost two weeks ago. It seems that tracking deaths is not actually what any epidemiologist would track as a metric for the spread of the virus. That's why they track new cases in an effort to minimize the deathtoll.

it is working so we may say that it does work
