Location location

Hey, I recently got roughly 17 seeds and I'm looking to grow. I live in New England, where it's cold until June and the deer thrive, so I have a few questions. I'm going to germinate inside and I'm hoping to grow the rest of the process outside. My 2 outdoors locations are in a treehouse/under my porch. I'm worried about deer needing to get their fix too, hence the locations. If the plants are under my porch will they rank it up? Also will a sled with holes in the bottom filled with planting soil work as a plant pot? Thanks!

If your plants are in a treehouse or under a porch then how is light going to get to them? Please tell me your joking about growing in a sled. You need something deep as the root structure needs space to grow out and down. All the sleds I've ever seen are shallow and would not have enough room for a decent root structure.

The porch is open to the sun, I'd grow near the edge. The treehouse isn't really a house, it's open and plenty of light can get to it. I was curious about the sled.

well some people grow indoors in 5 gallon pails. which arent very big. so if the sled is about as deep as a 5 gallon pail, it should be fine. is the tree house up in a tree? that would be pretty cool to have some plants up there lol

why grow in a treehouse? are you 5? you gotta be 18 to be on this site.
I'm not 5 but I don't live alone, the house came with a treehouse. I don't see why connotations of a treehouse should affect whether or not you can grow in it. It's an open platform in between a few trees that's low enough for me to be able to reach up and put the plants there.

As long as you get plenty of sun, you're good. People grow in tree platforms all the time. Definately try a 5 gallon bucket with plenty of holes for drainage. Forget about the sled. Good luck.
