Supersoil recipe is really peat, compost / amendments, and aeration, about 1/3 each.
What amendments and compost you use is a choice, and some use just a basic organic dry fert like tomatotone with compost and ewc.
Getting a run going with it is imo more important than exactly what is used. Its fun and amazing to not nute them as they go...

I was planning a basic 1/3 peat, 1/3 compost/ewc and 1/3 perlite plus amendments. Ive done this before and i learned a LOT aloong the way but never got to the end with only water (with carbs and bacteria ect..) I always had problems with pure organics. Ultimately, the problem ended up being not enough food available to the plant. Now that i think back , im not sure if the biology wasnt breaking it down fast enough or i just wasnt giving enough to begin with....... a couple years later i started back up with ffof and chems. Ive learned a lot more since then so im ready to play with organics again. soil
i have happy frog tomato mix and rainbow grow mix on hand .....
Well said. I feel like every time I recycle the rootballs after some plants grow in a newer mix, the soil looks/feels so much more improved when the roots get broken down.
I think that's the beauty of going fully organics though. I see a lot of guys can rock beautiful plants all the way through with straight water, but there are also endless avenues of teas/top dresses/ferments to try and keep things rolling optimally. I'm right around 4 weeks on my plants and starting to see a little "fade" on one of them. Working with 3 gallon smart pots, so really pushing the limits on small containers too. I could be wrong and it's some different issue, but overall I'm not too worried as the plants seem healthy enough right now. Going to do a final topdress of some fresh ewc/soil and hopefully ride it out with mostly water. May do a light kelp/neem tea to water in the topdress too. Something like a tsp of each in a gallon for 24 hours.
Again, I can only offer my experiences with my own soil/plants. Sorry for rambling too, but enjoying this thread. Pics from two days ago.

Thats great if you can make it that far with mostly water in 3 gallon pots! great job bud! Full organics can be real tough in smaller pots.
Thanks man. I have high hopes for being able to move up to a couple 2x4 tent's soon though. Want to try out some different led lights I have separately for fun and would also love to get into some 7 or 10 gallon pots ideally. I'm sure the larger containers would just make things even that much more smooth moving forward. My biggest battle always seems to be maintaining proper moisture in the soil, really think I am going to start with everyday watering from here out, every other seemed just a bit too long of a gap right now.
Have you settled on light yet though? Sorry if you posted it already, just curious to see what you gonna throw up.

My biggest battle after a couple decades of growing is the same as yours. Its all fine an dandy when all the girls are eating the same but obviously that never happens. I simply do not grow well in anything over 3 gallons myself.
The lights, now im wanting to do strips instead of boards so im stuck on which ones to get. I would be golden if it was just a 4x4 but im having problems coming up with lights to cover the whole 6x10. (the 6' part is where im having problems. the 10' stretch should be easy)
Nice man, I have some strips still in the packaging right now, but will get them out and wire them up one of these days. Yea a 6x10 might get a little funky, but I'm sure the guys in the led section can get you lined out when you're ready to roll. Lots of knowledgeable people over there..
