The problem with this is that we will be answering the same questions over and over. I see it in the chat channel all the time same questions. Its best to use the search function (now that its working again :) or start a thread. Then the person after you if they have a similar problem they can use the same answer.

But all the threads are the same question over and over!

And, with a separate channel, if you don't like seeing the same questions and answers over and over...you don't have to join the channel!

Also, I think a live discussion between experienced growers would be welcomed as well.

So if the same questions are on the thread over and over then it will be easy for them to find the answers. And making a channel will increase server cpu usage and bandwidth and well i dont know whats going on but the site is really slow ( could be cpu or bandwidth )

Live chat is so much easier...and discussions between experienced growers would be a lot easier to have.

I'm not 100% but I don't think the IRC channel is hosted by rollitup so it'd literally be 0 bandwidth or cpu usage...just 30 seconds of code :D
