would that be any good? from what i know, hps would get too hot for me, so would this be sufficient light? for how many plants? how many plants can this flower at once?

Why would a hps get too hot for you? That light is expensive compared to a hps light. No matter the light, you'll need ventilation. If you need help figuring out how much ventilation you would need....just ask.
