Hi i have 8 clones in week 4 almost 5 under 2 120W bulbs in a hydro system and i am currently on the 18hr scheduled but i have a 400W hps light when should i switch it up this is in a closet full of the reflecting paper. This is my first grow so any help would be much appericated

Well I vegged mine a little too long and outgrew my box! Sounds like u got a whole closet so height won't be an issue I'm guessing. Just for reference I started flowering when my tallest was 18" tall and it literally doubled to 36" in 14 days!!! I've since started LST so I don't get too tall!!

Veg them for another month or so wait for your plants to mature if you want good yeild.Other than that you can flower at any time.The longer you veg the more in yeild..

Immediately, the 400watt HPS is produceing 55,000 lumens while your only geting about 15,000 off the 2 lamps and flowering with a HPS has results like none other, you'll have some hard, dense, fist size buds if done correctly. The only downside is the heat but if you have or can get some type of ventalation you'll be in good shape but if ventalation in a closet is a problem like it is in my appartment just grab a evaporation cooler, they look like small AC's and reduced the heat in my closet by 14 degrees just make sure you keep filling it with water about every 10hrs. they run around $100.

K that looks like some sort of nute lockout. Im taking a wild guess that it could be a deficiency of nitrogen or maybe nitrogen toxicity. Either way a good flush is definitely in order. (when in doubt flush em out) And after the flush you should keep a constant eye on your ph and ppm. I would suggest nothing over 6-700ppm in veg and keep them around a nice comfortable 5.8 with an occasional dip to 5.5. What nutes are you using and at what rate are you applying them? And are you topping off your res daily with fresh water? These are things I must know!! haha jp get back at me whenevs. []Deace!

Im using foxfarm nutes and im following instructions on FF website that says i should add nutes weekly PH is 5.8 - 6 i haven't flushed them yet also they are in early veg state i have a 400w hps lighting set up would it be a good idea to put in the hps now? if i keep it at the 18hr schedule?

Are you changing the water in your res once a week? Because adding nutes weekly without topping off your res with fresh water will raise the ppm. And yes it would definitely be a good idea to throw in that hps. But keep in mind that the heat will rise significantly once you do. You might wanna look into some kind of exhaust system if you don't already have one. And if that is not an option I would throw it in and see how hot it gets. If its too hot then I would suggest keeping it out for the time being. []Deace!
