Funny, everything I ran under such a spectrum grew like mad, whether in veg or not. Mine were 3000K but that's not much different.

Since I started using the Cloak they've since switched to 28k as I recommended for flower. They use 6k for veg & it does excellent.

This scenario makes much more sense, all I am saying is if you chucked more Blue and FR in there it would be even better.

You'd be surprised how much of a difference 200k can make, I see 2800 as a near end of flower spectrum.

CRI is a theoretical scale, the theory being that sunlight in the middle of the day gives a CRI of 100 but this metric is subjective if you think about it, because does the midday sun look the same everywhere around the world?

Also you can have 2 sources of exact same CCT with different CRI's.

CRI is just a theoretical metric of how close each colour renders to a theoretically perfect source, e.g the sun at midday, not sunset, nor sunrise which would produce different CCT and hence not all colours will render the same as they would of the theoretical perfect sunlight at midday = Different CRI.

This is the R(a) standard for those who want to dig further, past hyberbole. The new standard CRI r96 has not been utilized yet......

The Color Rendering Index (CRI) is a rating system that measures the accuracy of how well a light source makes colors of an object look.

R9 or strong red is one of 14 test colors used to calculate a color rendering index. The higher the R9 number, the more accurate and vivid the illumination (perceived color of the object).

and if Hybridway or anyone else wants to put in here.....lets get the bins on the Cloak. Hybrid you have one, and have NEVER said what the specific bin is, just that they are "top".
and I can't get an email back from the company, politiely asking what the bin is on these lights....going on 5 months....all of the cheaper well known lights, don't advertise their diodes on purpose.....are we on the verge of adding the suncloak to that mix???

In this day and age, NO specs, No selects.....But maybe there is a glimmer out there, Randomblame?

Lets put up a bin code and judge them for their real worth....please....

You know these R thingy's above do they have a corresponding value 100 being perfect (except this isn't necessary so I mean what about HSV) or did that part slip your radar?

Speaking of slipping your radar, are you trying to tell me these artificial indices called CRI and CQS for that matter do not have Solar Sunny roots... If not then please explain to everyone, what the people who developed CRI used as a reference point?

I just don't have energy to respond....I think the comment was that I couldn't calculate someingthing for m^2.....but it is literally in my sig, the calc, so I just keep keeping on....No trolling.


Tell us newbies who don't know better how CRI is something about the sun at noon? Then I will quantify some of your remarks if you want....lets start there.....hmmm?

The other stuff is a straw man. Again, not surprising. I just hate the spread of terrible anecdotal evidence
