Have a 315w CMH 9x9" enclosed reflector and a 400w HPS 19x19" wing reflector.

How would you guys hang them for optimal coverage for a 3X3?

Think I might need to modify wing?

Single 315 somewhere around the middle would do great in a 3x3. 18-36 inches above the plant is generally a safe distance.

Personally I keep it around 28-38 inches away in veg.

Aren't you losing a lot of light at that distance? or are you inside of a tent where a majority of the light is being reflected back?
38 inches for me is around my seedling distance. And I give the highest light intensity around week 2-4 of flower (about 18 inches away). Then slowly back it off based on the plants I'm running, normally about 24 inchs away by chop.

It's what works for me.

A 315 in a 3x3 is perfect I've run them like that for quite some time now. Mid flower maybe 18 inches or even a lil closer if I can get it. I do the old school back of your hand test to check for heat and have only had one small spot of light bleaching, way smaller than even a dime. I personally think every smoker should have a 315 and a 3x3, it's the best personal use setup I can think of.
