Libertarianism makes you stupid

If you read the article at the beginning of the thread, you’d know this line of thought was already shredded.
If you knew some of the actual people involved in the Libertarian party at the local levels, you might think differently than "Libertarians are Koch bros. minions". Most have never met or spoken to any Koch bros.

I'm not saying there haven't been attempts to water down the message and shift what a Libertarian is, that's a goal of the elites for sure, and it has caused some confusion. Which is why they do it, "they" hate big L, Libertarians and really really hate small l, libertarians.

Political Libertarians themselves are confused. They are the most liberty loving people in a room full of various political types, until a libertarian enters the room. Then they are just a statist and they get all whiney trying to justify the existence of "just a little bit of coercion".

I've never met a Koch brother, but know plenty of Libertarians and plenty of libertarians. I respect them all, but think Libertarians are philosophically inconsistent...just not as bad as other political types....but....still.

You don’t use force and if people use force they’re bad so if you agree blah blah blah

You literally tried the libertarian schtick verbatim. It doesn’t hold water.

I never mentioned the Koch brothers, you’re confused.

The Koch shit is no myth.
Libertarians are a cult run by the super wealthy to avoid their fair taxes. To avoid social responsibility for anything and to be able to loot the wealth of any others. To avoid environmental law and pollute with abandon.

Real fuckin pricks.

Libertarians you may know
Charles and David Koch
Andrew Napolitano
Steve Forbes
Peter Thiel
Grover Norquist
Rick Santelli
Clint Eastwood (talks to chairs)
Glen fucking Beck
Rand Paul
Ron Paul
Steve Moore. Supposed economist, trump adviser

"Koch bros. folk tale. It's possible, some attempt to co-opt the Libertarian party may have been made, but by and large no "big money" is behind the Libertarian party. Have there been attempts to derail and infiltrate? You bet.

It's members are at odds with other members and largely ineffective because some try to soften their message and become more appealing to the average no mind mainstream person. I don't pay much attention to the Libertarian party. I'm not political anymore, in that I don't see the least aggressive and most liberty oriented political party as the best solution. Better than the other two parties? Sure, but still not for me.

I'm a libertarian, not a Libertarian, libertarians are defined as people who don't and won't use offensive force against another person and respect every person's right to self determine as long as that is reciprocated. I use the term "libertarian" , but Voluntaryist is another way to say it.

I hope that helps you clear up your misunderstanding. You liberals often get confused on the actual meanings of words so I understand why you were mistaken. For instance the word "liberal". What do you think that means ? Are you a liberal?
lib·er·tar·i·an
/ˌlibərˈterēən/
noun
noun: libertarian; plural noun: libertarians
  1. 1.
an advocate or supporter of a political philosophy that advocates only minimal state intervention in the free market and the private lives of citizens.
"no true libertarian would ever support a culture where citizens must show their papers to travel"
  2. 2.
a person who advocates civil liberty.
  3. 3.
    Philosophy
a person who believes in the doctrine that human beings possess free will.adjectiveadjective: libertarian
  4. relating to or denoting a political philosophy that advocates only minimal state intervention in the free market and the private lives of citizens.
"he holds libertarian views on most social issues"
Wrong again...Do you ever get tired of being wrong? That is your personal definition, which means absolutely nothing to anyone but you. Just like your opinions...
Why do you want to live your life being useless to effect the change you say you want? You do nothing at all to make change happen, you continue to pine for something "lost" that you never possessed.
Your views will not work. Ever. Because human beings exist. Your plan only works in your head, where people are what you think they are, instead of what they actually are...

Please learn to differentiate between offensive force and defensive force before bringing a lame erroneous "gotcha argument" into the discussion.

Rapists use offensive force, I'd have no problem with you using defensive force against one.

Can you think of any other kinds of people that systemically violate consent? I bet you can.

Tell that to the roughly one million dirt-poor African laborers who make under a dollar a day breaking their backs funneling diamonds into DeBeers.
They are certainly living the dream.

They should toss Debeers out and mine their own diamonds. Debeers did not justly acquire that property, they did it in collusion with government.

You malign "libertarianism" without realizing in that situation it was government colonialism cronyism, not libertarianism that lead to the problem.

His free market bullshit wrecked our society.

The end state of markets without regulation is monopoly. We are seeing the results of his unfounded ideology in the unbalanced distribution of wealth in our society today.
