Come to think of it.... there is no right or wrong way to spell words... someone made them up at some point in time.... and for that matter.. everything was made up.... haha. in fact. i think with all the Laws that have been passed we are ruining our process of natural selection... if someone doesn't want to wear their seatbelt... who cares... i think that they are better off hitting the windshield at 60 MPH. if you are too stupid to know that then i don't want you sharing the same air with me. more stupid people need to die or learn from their mistakes... basically what I'm saying is the people that are voting in my country are the same people who are too stupid to even understand elementary physics laws..... intense rant there.. anyway... no spelling errors here.

Interesting thread folks. I found that I got significantly sloppier with my posts after reading some really bad ones. I DO think there is something to be said for attempting to maintain a certain degree of writing standard and clarity. Minimal or common spelling errors are not nearly as problematic as the full-on nonsense that many people are writing. It's not about learning disabilities or lack of education. 90% of what we communicate on here could be done with a grade three education.
To those fighting this so much, consider that it is less about judging others, than it is about an attempt to stop an overall decline. Think of how many of the conflicts on this board are more based on a miscommunication.
In a former life I WAS a teacher of English. I maintain that precise language means a precise message, with far less potential for misunderstanding.
That being said, I am a hideous speller, and I've become far more lax on grammar as the world has seemed to allow it.
It is disrespectful to your potential reader when you write gibberish. You want them to take their time to respond to your URGENT question, but wouldn't take the time to make it easy for them to understand what you are asking. We lose the ability if we don't use it.

thats not how i really write but just making a point.... i understand that some people go to the extreme with their gabber talk, but for the most part a few miss spelled words an abreviations here and there are quite easy to disipher. i am as well (as you can see) am a horrible speller myself. its a pet peave of mine when people correct my grammar or point out my spelling flaws.
GIGLE GIRL, you made a good point about respecting your readers and i agree to some extent... this is still a non formal site that are full of openminded diverse people. the art of lituriture is exactly that, a art. people have the right to express and represnt themselves how they want. some may call this style of writing ignorant stupid and others persieve it at fun and creative. some people may find traditional and formal writing to be stuffy and boring. i my self fall right in the middle and respect both sides. after all no one has the right to pass judgement on anyone else... just myop
