It's definitely a big pot to start in if you don't know what you are doing... Head space might be ok if he uses a scrog screen... Even though a scrog is more ideal with a photo that you can flip to flower when you want. Just build a little 22x22 grid off the pot with some bamboo poles. Or stick to strains that stay shorter like Mephisto 24 Carat or Green Crack.

Me too I'm only using a 100watt vivosun vs1000e for a light because I won it here. But I've heard that autos hate being transplanted and the bigger the container the bigger the plant so fuck it go big or go home right?
You're going to hear a lot of things that are flat out wrong. That's one of them.
I just chopped my LSD Auto. It was my second grow and my first auto. She had a small deficiency early on but she recovered nicely after I bumped up my nutes and pHed a hair lower.
