LED vs. HID side my side competition

Yeah - me to. Thinking about buying a 600 watt LED to backup my 600w HPS

Is it me or does it seem we do more arguing than helping on here lately?

No it's not just you. Unfortunately it's just human nature.

Fresh pics of team LED, def lagging behind HID, but the cards are stacked against them (lower temps, and less blue spectrum than the MH as the LED is a flowering model). Im starting to think that maybe I should have had a flowering run off instead of a whole grow (someone elses suggestion as well). Pics from 11/24

Our grow stores sell blue spectrum CFL's to use for supplement HPS for vegging if you only have one light. Might wanna try adding that. Also out home centers sell this frost wall insulating wrap that looks like silver bubble wrap. You can see it in my pictures. Concrete walls are great for soaking up heat which is handy for HID but killing your temps with LED. Might wanna put some of that on your concrete walls in your LED area to hold in heat.....but not sure on your set up.

I'm subbed. I like the side by side growing.... it is a shame it's not fair with the temps different and all but I am still interested. What brand/model of HID lights are you using?? I would think to be fair a middle of the road LED should be against a middle of the road HID setup. including the reflector.

Sorry to all that are subbed, however I pulled the plug on this competition, I started to flower my NYPD and had enough room in veg to cram all the seedlings in there. I used the LED to supplement my 1000W HPS, hopefully it will produce enough bud to purchase all LEDs for the next grow.
