i will be keeping an eye on the base temps if it gets hot right there yeah i may have to have it kick off once in a while i hope not that would be some weird shit im not trying to do anything but 18/6. I've got a worklight that i disassebled the handle on and taped up so now its just a socket on an extension cord. Using that hanging inside the desk, you picked up one of those dual bands for 120 off that hydro site or what? I decided i only needed it for veg since that is really what the box is for. Did you notice your bulb gettin hot? How hot hotter than the CFLs?
I tried it in my little tent, and it was pretty warm (I used a converted drop light, too, for a socket). Then, I put it n an overhead fixture above some plants in my entranceway. I'm not sure why it cratered, but I'm supposed to be getting a new one soon. I did get it from hydroponicshut.com.

hey i know its kinda off topic but i have a veg room lighting issue and like almost no money considering building my own T5 HO setup can anyone link me to a ballast that can handle between 6-8 4ft t5ho bulbs please? Im having trouble finding this piece of the puzzle or maybe understanding what i need to understand to determine what ballast i need to handle that. Thanks guys. Ugh dont think LED is an option right now for veg ran into some serious monetary set backs

i will but my veg room is too big for kessil. I liked their page i hope i dont get the damn purple one imma ask for a magneta one if i win and get that one. So anyways how warm is warm warmer than say a CFL would be in it or what cuz i already have heat issues. I need to order some computer fans. Anyone have some old computer fans layin around they dont want ill pay for the stamps to ship em to me lol

No, I didn't mean it that way...sorry...just curious as to what you have to say once you see some successful grows.

And ChronicDoom was a first time grower. Spectacular results.

edit: plus this

Well, how high is high? LOL. Seriously, my induction light is 50w, and my tent is small, so you might be ok.

Thanks for pointing me in the direction of your other thread, not sure how I managed to overlook it. Anyway, I left you some thoughts over there.

I'm afraid a 40w induction bulb will cook your plants in that cab.

I'm afraid the light intensity might cook them, even if the heat doesn't.

I use 4 600 watt led lights, one of which is a 2nd gen and the rest are 4th generation. I like the idea of this thread and I will definitely post pictures of the lights and whats under them.
I grow Lemon G, I have almost 100 plants going, and I'll tell you guys right now LED's are where its at.
My recommendation is get the lights that are quad band. I can already see the difference between the stalks of this round vs, me trying the 2nd gen tri-band on its own.. they're thick as shit.
I'll go take some pictures right now and post them here in a couple minutes..

actually your right, When you first plant you cant have large LED right over the plants you actually have to raise them for the first week or two until the roots take, then drop the lights and watch em grow!

Why get quad and not one of the panels that has over 11? Or am I not understanding the difference between bands and wavelengths/peaks?
