so people i noticed something today when looking at a friends grow with the same clones and started at the same time
he using 2 600w hps in his room and I started my grow off with 1 120w LED (R,B,W,UV 6/1/1/1 ratio 1:1 ratio of the 660s and 630s) and 3 t5s
his plants are way bigger almost if not twice the size
But
my plant has the laterals place a hell of a lot closer his are about 5 fingers in distance apart(on same side) wheres my plants are about 2 fingers width apart on the same side

thought you guys might of been interested in that
ill try get a picture to show yous

Doesn't anyone on here get tired of having to constantly "clarify" information. I mean, good thing the clueless have you guys on here working around the clock for free. I get exhausted just trying to follow this thread when people comment just to hear themselves typing. It would be an entire waste of my time to read if it wasn't for the knowledgeable users, ie Hudson, Dunit, jdizzle(sometimes) cLove, and and the blackstar crew t-shirt ninja and kushgrove. I wish there was an administrator that could delete any pointless trolling comments.
nice to know that im at least remembered as helpful.... i stopped posting for the most part because this thread is dead now with HID asshats and people acting like there 3x the price panel with almost the same guts is better.... I left and went to the autoflower network and exclusively journal there now. They LOVE led's and are intrigued by it. If you want a large following come on over and chill with me. It's mostly for autoflowering strains but photo strain section has been set up. I grow autos mostly so its not an issue for me. BTW guys i have 3 strains going and will be picking up some more soil today so that i can start on my 4th. In the closet now will be Super Cali Haze, Blue Himalaya Diesel, MI5, and Jet47 all are either flash seeds or short stuff seeds. I think I have now fallen in love with the autoflowers and will not stop growing them. You can have 5-6 strains at the same time easily with little trouble and enjoy tons of diff varieties of bud at the same time. I think after this next large haul i will be breeding soon so that I never have to buy seeds anymore.

Very tight nodes!

puff- he wasnt referring to people honestly trying to learn. He was referring to people like budlover who are trying to be less helpful than more helpful and just stir up trouble

tshirtninja- they're gonna ban you if you start posting other sites, I recently got a warning. Just a heads up

How long is that strain supposed to go? And what kinda panels are those?
It says in his thread, they are from HTG supply

And I see why I was suspicious
On the 300w page - "Other LED Grow Lights provide the wrong spectrum for plant growth, the spectrums are “close” but not a match to those required for maximum photosynthesis." - "The concept behind the High Power Tri-Band 300 watt LED GROW LIGHT is simple – it uses highly efficient 1 watt LED’s"

You are using 1w LEDs which despite what their page says, are the worst you could have (the better being 2w LEDs the best are 3w although I hear some are starting to make 5w). 1w LEDs also don't run at 1w they run at .5 to .7 (so are you sure there are 428-600 LEDs on that panel?). On top o that they admit that they don't hit the exact spectrum they know to be best, this is because those are not available in 1w LEDs I think (or they are just not trying to sell the best available stuff). Obviously they still grow, and you will still do pretty good. For what you may have thought to be 750w of LED is more like 450-500w of low end/quality LED light (but still way better than a lot of the shit sold on ebay)

I would sell them off if I could and upgrade to the newer 240w Blackstar LEDs (they use 3w but only run on 133w) or the growledhydro panels (their website is a little out of date but they don't mislead people about how many watts their products use, look up the Irishboy grows on this site for a good look at em, I think GLH makes the best/most proven panels).

He is right with the light, and right now I am doing bag seed which seems to be Sativa Dominant and then I have a Blueberry that is Indica dominant so that one might be another month from now till its ready bag seed should be done in another couple of weeks

wow i go on 'vacation' i get gramar nazi'd as if it mattered on the internet

its all good though i just finished building 4 new rooms with full insulation AC and electricity with my dad, you know licensed to do all this and knows what hes talking about and its him telling me what to do and why so if its to high level for you guys thatsnot my fault

have a vid check it thats just one of four rooms might be five if i can squeeze anotherone out of the second building mighthave to run two smaler trays instead of one big one

yea andits all led so f led haters and f those who think i hate on led egl165 on sides and egl 300 in thecenter over 3x6 tray in each room

oh did i forget to mention i ordered a fuckton of lights after seeing the 135 they sent to replace that 90 thats what convinced us to start making special rooms

Nice setup BL909. And the insulation thing is common sense, kudos. A cooler of beer in S. Cali will heat faster than a cooler of beer in Colo, but remove the insulation and you'll drink some hot beer in no time. Heh.

because im smack in the middle of the mojave even with insulation the rooms gonna heat up to wel over 130 without it here in a month
Figured it would be something like a desert, at least you don't have to deal with HID in that heat (my 395w LED seems to put out 80% as much heat as my 400w HID did)

I only comment on your poor punctuation and grammar because you have a problem with another user's reading comprehension skills. I could care less otherwise. Good to know you're done hating on LEDs. I only signed up to roll it up because of LED users unite and I've been following it much longer than that so when it gets to be a waste land it makes the entire RIU site pointless to me. It's also pointless for me to sign up for another grow forum because all I need more info on is LED grow lights. I want to own as many different GOOD brands as I can to get a clear idea of which lights work best. I have 5 junky kessils that are flowering well but not nearly as good as my 2 ISIS that cost less. I have an HSS 800 that I've had for a while and totally kicks ass but wouldn't pick up another because for what I spent on it I would much rather have more ISISes. An old school 126w Hydrogrow penetrator that flowers but that I now use just for veg. Just now seeing + results in veg from 2 blackstars over an 8 site hydro set up. I recently decided to check out spectra based on all the mad props they are getting from jdizzle for having the same watts as they advertise and the specs look straight so those will be my next purchase. The best I've found for the price so far is the ISIS so I'll only be looking at how well the spectra does against it.

I'm just getting nostalgic about the "golden age" of this thread when everything seemed on point and not a whole lot of pointless bickering. I'm not saying clarification or disagreement is pointless but at a certain point it gets to be too much when users have to wade through shit to get information. What I would like to see is getting back to posting feedback about use of the their LED, specs, issues with particular units ie Kessil. Talking about temps and heat escape is very useful on an LED thread but getting all worked up about concrete just isn't? come on! Look back at the posts in January and before and look at all the useful information. Then look at where it's been going. Everything is much more confrontational and it's a constant my unit is bigger than yours.

Currently flushing six cotton candy kush flowered under 305 advertised watts of LED. Looking forward to weigh in but almost positive I will total over 305g's. I have a white widow un-topped, a purple cross un-topped that are 3 weeks behind them and stacking up nicely. 3 white widows topped that are 3 weeks into flower and opening nicely. All are flowering under maybe only 200 w of led. This week I will be moving 2 more purps, 3 pinnaple chunks and one last white widow into flower. In the next two weeks I'll be getting 6 more cotton candies ready to flower as soon as I pull their older sisters and that'll be the last of the cotton candies for me. Sold the momma to an HPS user that wants to and I quote, "see what he can do with them.

I'm not ragging on you man!! All I'm saying is for the longest time I couldn't tell where you were coming from. For me 99% of the users on here are very clear. I don't care to spend my time bickering or reading a bunch of bickering so now worries I won't respond to anymore of your posts. I just find it ironic that you dog on others' reading comprehension when your posts come of to me as really confusing. And I will TRY hard to "coprehend" what you are trying to say.

excuse my ignorance, but is led grow lights direct the only place to buy ISIS lights?
is the 170 and the 357 the only two they sell?

if not where else can i buy them?

I am looking for something good to flower a 2.5' x 2.5' square cabinet.

They are the only place to buy them. Go with the 170. The spectrum ratio is the same in both. The only thing that is different is that the magnum is 180w actual draw for $750 and the ISIS is 120w for $450 I ordered both of my ISISes when they were still $399. If you break the math down you pay 180 watts for $750. That comes to $4.17 per watt on the magnum all at once. The ISIS is120w for $450 so that's 3.75 per watt and you don't have to fork out the $750. They have a limited time offer of $699 on the magnum which brings the price per watt down to $3.88 per watt. So even with the special offer the ISIS is a better deal at the regular price of $450. Both includes tax and shipping. I love my ISISes and would rather have 2 ISIS panels totaling 240w for $900 than a 180w magnum for $750.
