LED up against ceiling

I have a small 2x3x3 veg tent tucked under a shelf. (Ceiling of tent is upgaist wood shelf) Anything wrong with running a marshydro ts1000 against the ceiling. Driver removed. So flat base against flat base. By wrong I mean damaging to the led's for some reason?

Could possibly overheat your diodes, causing premature failure. They aren't designed to be used like that.

You could put a heat resistant blanket on the roof.
A welding blanket cut to size for instance.
But as said above by @DoubleAtotheRON possibly damage the diodes if placed tight to the ceiling.
Leave a small gap twixt ceiling and light and have a fan blowing air over it.

I'm going to order one of these just to have around the garage!! I've have started 2 to many fires out there! Thanks

Headspace is really valuable and the heat blanket won’t help LEDs stay cool.
Good ventilation will.

Lol, your fine op. ..... You r already relocated the driver, can add a comp fan for some reassurance if necessary..
