When green genes gets back I will see if he can send me some of his strips to test, that way you can build your design on the computer and add in the strips to see exactly how it will work

If you set it up right you can switch a driver off instead of dimming it, this will improve efficiency as drivers loose alot of efficiency when being dimmed

For new visitors who don't want to dig.. this is a rough draft...
I have not read everything here but have yet to see any comment on the size of the tent.
You plan on using stationary wire which to attach the plants too?
Have you considered being able to work on the plants, tucking and tying the branches to the wire. You must have some method for working on the plants.
I run a 5 plant vertical in a 4 x 4 and have the ability to remove the plants to work on them. Don't run LED, run two 315W CMH.
Just a couple of pics to illistrate.
The stands.

The plants outside the tent but on the stands.

Not trying to Hijack your thread but being able to work on them is something you need to consider.

Good luck on your efforts there buddy!

So hlg 320 it is.. for maximum efficiency right
HLG are pretty efficient, I'm more think as you have 3 rows for each of the 9 bars you have 3 separate drivers, it's pretty unknown at this stage exactly how much light you need.

@gr865 thanks for joining! :blsmoke::bigjoint:bongsmilie I have a 7foot 6in PVC pipe that will have 72 2in holes ... 4.8'x4.8'x6' is a good picture of canopy size..
Will have garden fencing every 8" from each other... Plant cups tilted not at 45 degrees but more closer to 180 degrees... lights are hanging from top of very sturdy diy tent and dangling down on a manual light track mover.. 9 bars all around easily movable as they will be spinning on a electronic motor...

As my LED family knows, narrowing down your components for a diy light can seem overwhelming.. it is almost time for me to start up so now I need to be putting in orders.. I've had a couple ideas shared before to me about the "super" light I'm trying to build.. not sure if it's still the latest tech.. so guys I've got the diy vertical tower garden & want to line LEDs vertically around each PVC (I'll tag a picture)

My lights will be hanging from the ceiling all around it though.. more than 4 light bars per PVC.. my goal is to be more efficient than anything else.. money is not a issue here, I think the Q series strips are still the most efficient strip on the market today??? Not sure.. BUT I will have 2800 flower watts & 4 PVC pipes so that's 700watt per 6' tower.. I don't want to make the mistake of buying the wrong strip. IfIf am trying to maximize efficiency what would you recommend.. thanks in advance.. I'm guessing I'll have to DIY a fixture similar to this

But circular and have leds going all around PVC.. really not like that... More like a light mover racks that shaped like a star to move lights forward or backwards...

More like this but I'll alsobe able to slide them closer or away
But like this hanging from ceiling on light movers so I can bring LEDs closer or back...

700 watts per pvc tower... 9 bars with 3 strips per bar PLC... Maybe less???:wall::cry: idkk... Always rotating when lights on... Diy should I add ... As far as training they naturally grow up so I will have fencing around PVC first 8" away & then another 6-8in away... I might put it on wheels to make the fencing adjustable as they grow out...

Areo drip system... Tube has poked holes in it as it goes up to the top where it then spirals to reach all net cups... Then falls to pipe that then leads to res with auto pH adjuster thanks to @Growmau5 bongsmilie:blsmoke::bigjoint:... That feeds 5-8 times a day...

I will keep a gate fence around the first 8" away from PVC and then add a second layer 16" away from PVC for ultimate vertical scrog like never before .. only thing I will need to do as a Gardener is keep environment in check & manually the only thing I'll have to do is defoliate .. as the plants naturally grow up, the gate will be angled to where I can bend them outward the more I pull the fence to the light...
This took some thinking lol
