LED people what lights do you recommend?

I went and bought the hlg 550 since I was told that was a good light for a 4x4. But I also read that buying two hlg 320's would be better and get better yield? I'm thinking of replacing my whole 4k hps room with 2 LED in 4x4 tents with co2 in each. What lights would you recommend to hit at least 2lbs each tent? with environment dialed in. I wanna keep price about $1k per light but I can do $1,500

View attachment 4350017 View attachment 4350019 I got this light for $651. It’s a bad boy. You could get two of them if you really wanted to do some damage
How hot does it get?

I have a 1440w blurple in my tent before switching to this light. My tent stayed 82-90 degrees! Now with this light 76-82 much cooler
Nice that makes me happy already. what kind of yields do you get with it? I'm sure it's gonna be better than what I get now since I have a heat problem

Check out California Lighting Co. Compared to HPS most of what you look at is going to be missing the UVA and IR spectrums. Either way you go there is going to be a learning curve. Are you concerned about heat? Because if you are going co2 you might need the extra heat from the HPS. I couldn’t find exactly what I wanted and ended up making a custom light.

My room temps without A/C are about 70 already so the LED will prolly put just enough heat for co2 and I won't have to run my A/C. Also how high above canopy should they be to prevent light bleaching? I have about 2 ft of room

Blurple LEDs use diodes that emit specific light spectrums. If you google viparspectra you’ll see that those lights have 10 or 12 specific wavelengths they emit. They have a veg switch (mostly blue) and a bloom switch (mostly red) which get added to the blue during bloom.

You only get that when u run full spectrum right?
As its blue in veg and red looks white in bloom.
Ok so now I’m confused but that doesn’t take much. The photo is of a blurple, light not full spectrum, even with both switches on. Pics under full spectrum look “normal”.

HLG600-H v2 is a beast. I have two and they work really great. About the same power as 2 x 320 except with two lights you have better placement and more options for placement. The 600-h also tends to be a bit hot in the center. Beast of a light though.

It looks like two 320's are a better value, but I only see them in the "R" spec with additional red for flowering, not sure you want that for veg. Best to ask over in the LED section. HLG boards are the real deal, they use top self Samsung diodes and their boards are now made by Samsung.

As for a more expensive light, I'd suggest something like Fluence, the SPYDR 2i. Another is the Amare solarBar-8. Again, best to ask in the LED section, serious knowledge over there.
