Sorry to hear about your hand bro. Pipes are probably my favorite method anyway, clean, easy, and quick.my problem with joints is that I will end up smoking the whole thing just because the cherry is still lit, even though im high after a couple tokes.

If its not too much trouble, could you update the list of participants again to show who is still in it? And the ones that are showing sex should be narrowed down to three entries per person, right? Just trying to size up the competition.

it wasnt a problem, like I said I got fuckall to do!!! I hear you about the joints, hard to put them down. The problem with pipes I find the first toke taste really good then it goes to shit... half the time I wanna use it I got an unfinished toke in it, still too green to throw it out but too black to be appealing... I choose joints over anything else any day... kind of part of my ritual to roll and to pre roll !

None of mine are showing sex. So it looks like we have four growers with pistils and another four without. Is there anything to read into that? The contest ends when the last grower harvests so I don't know if it matters who is showing what first other than setting the pace.

nothing to read into that... its mostly Puff doesnt like to see you still have so many cups in the competition!! just normal stress that comes with competing haha. I am pretty sure all cups will show sex by next update. Yours are doing well Amax, Is your super haze a fem seed?

Hehe, I was just curious if there was anything to read into who starts flowering first. I'm seeing others getting pistils and I'm getting jealous! Though I guess one could argue that the longer it takes to flower the longer it has to veg, thus bigger yields? Yeah! I'm gonna go with that! hehe.

Yup! The Super Haze is femmed. She is undoubtedly one of my three entries. Just waiting on the others. I sure hope #2 turns out female because I'm loving the party cup main line. lol!

Ok so it's time for Update 5, has it really been this long? Here are my final 3.
They are Bag Seed #1, Pineapple Chunk and Mystery Seed, they are all females. Bag Seed #1 was the first of mine to bloom.

I've been using these glowpanels since I got them. I paid about 250 for 8 of them which was a real steal.

I was told that they were absolute garbage but everything I have seen so far has disagreed with them. Proper distance and full coverage just makes astounding growth in veg and I'm currently using them to flower and I'll be comparing the results to CFL's beside it.


I'm just in love with LED's, I'm at the low end and everything they provide with proper use is beyond what I could have hoped for.

On a side note I checked the party cup sluts today and it looks like #1 & #4 are showing pistils! yay! #3 might be fem as well, I'll know for sure tomorrow. Still nothing on #2. I'll attribute that to the stress from all the bondage. heh.

Weekly Update. Flowering is coming along quite nicely for such a little gal. Happy with my first party cup grow!

So I killed damn near all my plants except the solo cup plants. But it's kind of relieving for some reason - perhaps my lights aren't shit after all and something else is up. I was going out of town for just a couple days I decided to put most of the larger plants' containers into a shallow tub with just an inch of water; enough in this heat to over water the plants for a day before drying up. Worked well at keeping the soil moist but every plant in the tub died. And in kind of a weird way - totally dried to a crisp with damp soil and a weird brownish green color to the leaves a bit similar to when I though I fed them some stale tea.

Not pictured are four additional dead plants that look the exact same.

The plants that weren't in the tub are not happy but they aren't dead. Showing signs similar to the bad tea episode, which I'm now thinking wasn't a bad tea but just water issues. I honestly haven't checked the water parameters since moving as I grow in soil, and my fish are all healthy, but I'm starting to think this water is no good. All I'm feeding with is a low low level of floranova and calmg+ so I'm pretty baffled as to what else would do this.

And why the fuck is this one plant just chugging along? I don't get it so I'll have to run some tests when I'm feeling better.

Damn Gas looks like you have some severe toxicity issues, and your right it's not from a tea......pretty hard to kill mj like that, I would def check your soil/water......good luck growers......starting to see some champs appearing in this comp

All fresh soil but I went with 50/50 root/happy frog when I generally just do happyfrog. Never used roots before but the bag smelled like shit - like straight up fresh chicken shit and ten times stronger than my chicken coop. Weirded me out but as I've never used roots I just thought it was normal. I'd throw out that it might have been a bad batch but I kind of doubt it. Yeah...I really can't figure it out. I wanted to blame the dechlorinator I use but my water plants don't have problems and they're way more sensitive than bud.
