@Big smo It did yield 3.5 between the two. It's no COB but it wasn't completely useless. Did good for 3 weeks from seed before flip. Here are some shots. The box is only full of the one plant that was topped, not the one single-cola plant in the picture.

He's gotta be from some backwoods town. Probably 40-something, dropped out of school in 9th grade, and has a confidence issue.

He's mad elite, though, getting schooled by a guy who's only grown since February. Shows how much years of experience go when comparing them to actual comprehension and understanding of the experience.
I put him on my ignore list and my experience here is so much better lol. For the same reasons you speak of. Thing is he keeps getting schooled by people and doesn't tone it down it's like if he likes being fucked with lol.....

He and Smo started shit with me over my ViparSpectras, saying they wouldn't yield more then a quarter ounce each or something. Those flower pics are the result. They're not quite COBs, but they do work.

I got no issue with Smo he knows what he's talking about and has helped me a lot, but the other guy.........
Not denying that, but he was wrong about the ViparSpectras. That's all I'm saying. He told me they wouldn't produce, and for two plants yielding 3.5 (1 ounce for the untopped lollipop'd BBBC, 2.5 for the topped-once HWFP) only spending 3 weeks above ground before the flip, I'm pretty happy. That's easily worth the $149 I spent on it. It's not a COB array, but it isn't bunk, either.

I got impatient and cut the Blue Cheese a little early so it didn't swell as much. It probably had about a week, week and a half left.

I guess, I'm just saying, from my perspective? I was at least happy with the results. I'm only a closet med grower, trying to grow as a therapy and smoke the harvest to quell the issues stemming from combat-related PTSD. If I sold my yield, I'd have made like.. 6-7 times what I paid for my light. (270 to 350 x 3.5. Light was $149.). So, in the end, I don't consider it a loss. I now have one TastyLED T1-2100 and my other one's ordered with 2-day air.

I'm not arguing brother, just remember not everyone grows like you and me in a tent just for personal reasons. That's all I am saying. I am new to this as well. But you learn a lot from the guys with bigger operations if you can take the time to listen and see what they're doing. Then just scale it down. I started with a Tasty now made my first DIY and today getting parts for two more lights. I will be testing LED vs MH/HPS to see what's what for me in my garden.

Good choice on the lights. I have severe nerve damage and anxiety from my illness so this is my meds too.

Here's my first light:

And what the fuck evilmobo? I've never had a problem with you. You just wanna jump on the bandwagon and call shit out so you can feel high and mighty?

@Airwalker16, I'm not even trying to be a pretentious cunt, but do you see your likes vs. your posts? People clearly don't approve of what you have to say. If you don't have the right information, why not take the time to study more? It'll help you and it'll help others.

Not sure about the second set, I was just highlighting that those hairs are not typical of any seedling I have grown so far, and are much more obvious than any time before, but!

In the first pic, I swear to God, I had many others identify them as trics. I have a cactus that is pushing huge fucking needles that haven't been there when window grown all bright, hot-ass summer.

Maximize that. You can see those silver, sparkly round dots all over it, all the way up the leaf. Those ARE trichs, not hairs, they do not even look like hairs, on my first set of true leaves in the first pic.

Trichomes can certainly develop on seedlings in the presence of the right amount and spectrum of light. We do it all the time over at RM3's site.
Pretty sure all seedlings look like that...

Whoopdie doo that I said he sounds stupid. Sorry, but when you're saying trichomes are present on a SEEDLING it kinda throws off what we all usually refer to trichomes as.
There are trichomes present on my seedling. Not just hairs, but also premature resin glands, dude. Google Capitate-Sessile Trichomes. That's what those opalescent dots are.

Those pics are exactly what I'm talking about. I never ever said the light wouldn't grow. I even said an incandescent would grow but what you still haven't learned is that the viper is not putting it's energy into photons. You screamed up and down that you had 6 oz plants going. I knew you didn't and never would with that panel. From experience!!! I knew the outcome and believe it or not have been in your shoes in the past too. I know a lot more about this than you may think and I'm actually a newer grower myself. But it's not about time as much as how you spend the time you do it for. Those buds are wet first off. Second that single cola plant is max 1/2 oz dry, more like 1/4 once you snip the stem. Yes the light worked, I never said it wouldn't But I did say it wouldn't do anywhere near what you think it would. Again from experience. BUUUUT your attitude was terrible and you took every word as an insult instead of help which is all I was trying to do. Bottom line viper will pull weight just not a lot of it.

I admit my attitude was terrible and I apologize. You could have at least been less abrasive. And I told you what the dry weight was. She's long gone.
