Guys do you think that going with single cob liights cree3590 is good start in 2021? Vs qb boards.
Do you already have the Cree cobs? They're quite expensive £25 - £35 each and you'd need heatsinks too.
One per square foott at 50 watts worked well for me when I used them.
QB will cover a 2ft x 2ft.
Strips are a better option I'd say. Lots of options on the strips
Here's an example. Samsung 2ft F strips.
~ £16 a strip. Or there's 4ft strips or 1ft strips too.

And yes still learning. But the difference probably between me and you. Is i do research on hardware to get the best hardware en then start learning how to do it. Nobody perfect. But guys maybe is mars Hydro good for you, but not for me. I want a Lamborghini and not a FIAT
You run lights from Shenzen. so it’s still a fiat you schmuck

You are getting agressive, men. You know i am right, and you feel weak so your ego is hitted and you start getting offensive. So you know you can win to a girl. Didn't learn your parents manners ?

Also lumatek and Fluence is there made. So what the difference ?

Here is a review :
LOVE MY FIAT and yeah sp6500 mars hydro is the first "good" light they make after making a dozen lights not good hhahaah

Fiat vs Lambo? False dichotomy. I’ll take a Toyota please and thank you. Anyhoo I just bought 5 Chinese made lights with ELG drivers and Samsung LM301B 3000/5000k and a few 660 red and 730 IRs. Bought one to inspect and you know the rest. They originally had at $99 each w coupon but now $139. They draw 200W off the 240W ELG with 436 diodes. Hands down the best bang for the buck and the components are top notch. Wish I had these sooner.

Guys are cree 3590 passe In 2021?? I lost all my gear, trying to re up but I'm broke. I WAs thinking of going single led 55w cobs for start..
3590’s are still good COBs.

Cree 3590’s are still decent COBs, but they’ve been surpassed by Vero 29’s and Luminous COBs.

And to be honest, COBs are a quickly dying technology, becoming replaced by Quantum Board and Light Bar style LEDs, so there isn’t a lot of innovation or R&D being put into them.

So, personally if I was gonna build a light I’d go with HLG QB288 boards, or some type of lighting Strip/Bars with Samsung 301B/H diodes instead of COBs. Even better if you could build your own boards/bars so you could customize the spectrum.

Yeah viparspectra is solid but don’t buy that green “pro” as it’s the older version. Buy this one. They also make in a 400w or I think 100w.

However about 80 bucks less you lose the heat sink but get a near identical one.

Out of the 2 lights I'd prefer the Spanish one. Although it's €80 more expensive.
Better light distribution, 40 watts more.
Sologrowleds = ~ 27 watts per square ft
P2000 = ~ 22 watts per square ft
If in Europe nit sure these are avail. But if you want the best warranty on Chinese made of course w Meanwell and LM301B but sold by US company you can get a near identical with the sonofarm

Any experience with these? Im running 2 flower tents , one is 4×4 7ft height other is 4x 6 7ft height. Looking to swtich to LED but not looking to spend a fortune for just 2 tents. Larger has 1000hps other has 600hps

Interested in your thoughts to fill it up. The heat and power and getting a bit much. I have inline fans and both exhausting but cooling is issue.

Nevermind

Yes I have 4 of the 200w bloomspect and 2 of their 100w. The 100w is not dimmable but has an XLG Meanwell. I got rid of the HPS lights. The 200w are dimmable. I wish these were around longer.
I have tried cobs and triple chip that are full spectrum w white, IR and UV but this blows em all away. I like the fact that the heat is a fraction of hps and even cobs.
I’m in transition and still working out layout. But I’m supplementing w my meemckux triple chip for red, IR and UV. That’s be the only thing they could do to make a quantum board better would be uv and more reds. I mean finned heat sinks if you think you’ll still have in 5 years lol.
I’ll try and get some pics tomorrow.

Thinking of the ss1000 or s1000 which is dimmable, thoughts? How many would you get for 4×4? Think i may switch 1 tent with them. Yield comparable to HID? The lack of daisy chain may be an issue but i guess a surge protector would solve

If I had a 4x4 tent I’d just get the ss4000. It’s only 249 and draws 400w and is dimmable. Comes with 2 ELG Meanwell drivers. It’s all you need fir a 4x4 tent. Or you could get 2 of the ss2000 which is exactly 1/2 the ss4000 you do get some added versatility albeit 30 bucks more. I would not get the ss1000 tho. It’s dimmable but nit Meanwell driver. The s1000 has an xlg driver but not dimmable, and now they don’t state that the smds are LM301B diodes. I bought an s1000 last year when it first came out. It’s nice it’s cheap but just not enough. Need too many. And if you can get a friggin 200w dimmable quantum board w LM301B w an ELG Meanwell driver fir only 139 Or the 400w fir 249 why waste time w the 100w that’s nit as good. I got lucky and bought mine for 99 bucks w a coupon. They originally had at 119 w 20 off. They must realize too cheap lol.

Thanks again. Just ordered SS4000 for my 4x4. I have 4 in there 14 days since flip. Will replace hps with led once it comes

Just hooked up the ss4000 in my 4×4. Going to give it a few weeks but if all goes well i will likely get another for larger tent plus an added ss2000 for it
