24" x 21" x 48" (14.0 cu/ft)
24x21 is your footprint? 3.5 SQFT.

For your Space.
35,000 lumen = Mr Plum murdered the cannabis in the tent with the light as his weapon.
26,250 lumens is profession grade (high risk reward)
15,000 lumens would be plenty good
10,000 lumens minimal setup

That means a 400w HPS would be maxing it out, 400w MH would put you into plant murder zone. I would go with about 250w of LED or about 25,000 lumens. Mainly because they are low profile and put out heat so you will have a full 42" of workable height (only top 6" should be avoided to avoid bleaching.)

so would a 150w hps be ok?

i would take 120w of LED over 120w cfl. led light have the exact wavelength the plants absorb . cfl wastes color specs that plants cant absorb.

If you are talking about red and blue ones, they aren't very efficient, a cool white led at 6000k-6500k and a warm white led at 3000k produces more usable light with the same amount of energy as the red and blue ones.

hmm i must be missin the cool white/warm white panel grows..
Lol, are you trying to argue for group intelligence? People are more interested in making their room look cool than actually reading up on what's being output by the options. I have to admit a purple grow room looks cool, but purple grow rooms don't make A+ bud.
