LED+CFL Closet Coco grow

Would you say bud growth is where it should be for how far in I am? Thursday will be 3 weeks of 12/12

yea your right on track!... are you counting from when you switched the light cycle? or when you saw the first preflowers?

you will have samples hopefully in 3 to 4 weeks.. strain dependent of course..

as far as the bugs you pictured.. I think they are soft bodied aphids. are they on the leaves or the stems? maybe check you nps to see if aphids are listed on the package?. Neem oil would work for them also insecticidal soap. both are good in bloom

This is good to know.

I am counting from when I flipped to 12/12. It will be 3 weeks of 12/12 on thursday, I am tempted to pull a small bud tonight and smoke it, I know the flavor will be not even close, I'm more interested in feeling the effects. Would this be ok/worth it to do?

I have not seen any of the bugs on the plant at all they only seem to be in the coco and crawling around the black part of the grow bag. I'm leaving the NPS in for the moment until I identify them as it seems to have brought their population down a bit. I want to take it out soon though. I don't see any damage to the plant, the very bottom is always a little ugly looking as the leaves tend to die or get a little messed up where the nutrient solution touches them directly. I don't see any damage out of the ordinary. Are these aphids dangerous? I'll likely pick up some neem oil tomorrow, I guess what would be the best kind of blanket treatment since I'm not sure what I am dealing with?

dyna gro neem is good and cheap. Safers also? i would advise against using it in the last 2 weeks, might possibly leave an off taste

No taste tests. Not worth it. Can probably learn what it'll taste like by chewing a leaf lol.
I've used tobacco, beer, and dish soap for pesticide before. Worked alright for me

Wasn't too interested in the taste yet, I'm more curious about the effects. I'm wondering if I could just pull off a small nug and smoke it? Maybe I'll stop being impatient and go back to the bowl I just packed of Island Sweet Skunk, The White, and Phunk OG BHO. :bigjoint: Hey it's friday.... well it is for me. Check the links. :bigjoint:

if your chillin with dabs... leave the lady alone lol. it wouldnt do anything at this point anyway. could even give you a headache?

the leaves that look ugly in the middle shaded areas look that way because the plant is eating itself of all the mobile nutrients, and pushing them to the well lit areas. the leaves at the bottom in the shade are useless and should be cleaned out for air movement and to keep the plant clean of bugs and molds etc.. some say remove leaves that are 50% or more damaged.

If, or when, you sample take some of the little popcorn nugs in the poorly lit areas?... most the time the nugs at the bottom finish a lil quicker also.

3 weeks into flower you're not going to have very much thc/cannabinoid production at all, and that which is there will not get you very high at all. Regardless, you need to dry weed before it can be smoked. You can take some sample nugs later for sure man, just have to be patient. Check back in 3 or 4 weeks and it might be worth doing!

Nice grow btw man, if this is your first you've got a bright future ahead of you. Sometimes you get a few bugs, doesn't seem to be affecting your girl too much. Looking forward to seeing how her buds progress

Stopped by the store today:

Sorry to hear about your bug problem bro, kill those little fuckers quick! Your plant is still looking amazing, I would hate to see it ruined. Nice purchases, looks like what I am getting on Friday, minus the coco, I have yet to venture off from soil. Anyways, just stopping by, keep up the good work!

I think I need a more powerful loupe this one is only 30X not very good. The fan is loud as hell but it is keeping the tent 75ºF-77ºF. I am thinking of putting piece of carpet on the ceiling above to dampen the sound. I'm not totally sure how to use the big bud, but the guy at the shop suggested it as he said it would increase my yield a ton. He said to check out the calculator on Advanced Nutrient's site. I'll do that soon. I removed the NPS and placed it in a ziplock freezer bag for the moment. The bugs seem to be few but I did see a few on some of the leaves. I picked up some Neem oil, the guy at the shop said this stuff doesn't work and I must identify the bugs, I want to try it anyways, suggestions for use? Does anyone have any info on this Coco? The guy at the shop said it is amazing stuff and ready to go out of the bag it is precharged with calmag and PH buffered. I'm planning on transplanting the clones to smart pots, I picked up 8 smart pots. :-)

Would it be possible/suggested to move my flowering lady to one of the 5 gal smart pots and fill in with some of this coco? Or should I leave her in the current pot? The coco has actually become spongy from all the roots I don't know if it has any more room to grow.

Things are rolling on nicely :-)
Just follow those directions on the neem, rinse really well before you put it back into the light,, the oil residue can fry foliage when exposed to bright light.

I would not transplant during flowering. Youll just have to water more often.

Haha I'm excited to try the smart pots. I am wondering about the Big Bud though, the guy at the shop suggested it but it isn't certified for Coco, also it says weeks 2-4 of flowering but he said I can use it up until the last 2 weeks then flush and I'll be good to go, does anyone have any info on this?

So do you suggest just doing a foliar spray or feeding with the neem oil as well?

The directions just say to spray on, should I remove from light spray, then rinse with a spray of just water then put back into tent?
