Nowt wrong with smoking trim as far as i'm concerned, smoke 'em if you got 'em and all that. It can be a pleasantly mellow, sometimes actually pretty tasty tide-me-over solution. Is your overall plan to keep ze box topped up with autos and try to keep it as full as possible as you progress?

Yes thats the plan keep it going as long as.....Its good each plant gets a trim into separate bowls which dries out pretty quick even though its leaf they all work okay,,,the longer it goes the more impressed with the lights I am.

I have been running the lights 24/7. Thats what I like about Autos not light sensitive blast away all day an night they just start flowering when they are ready to.

The leaves from the first plants I put in the box are sticky an smelly so yeah I let em dry naturally an they smoke up okay. The only smoke I get I from what I grow so it works for me, The cups are for February, I miss read the cup challenge thought I had till 11th but was wrong. The cups will be enough for my next lot

The first lot are 8 week old so will be finished in 4 or five weeks at that point I will put in another set for march april .......

This grow BOX in its tiny dimensions is to test the cheap lights performance. According to the outcome so far they work well.
I like you would not bother smoking trim in the past when I grew outside any trim went into the compost heap. My life has changed to a point this way of growing is the only way.
Haha actually you don't want to know what I've bothered smoking in the past :bigjoint:
I imagine your trim has more trichs on it than that haha

Yeah it was a bit of a joke to me, I was thinking while I was rolling the first joint of what we used to call grief I got the surprise of my life when halfway through the smoke I was smashed off my face haha love it cant wait to smoke some buds :weed:

i had to help dismantle an op in a (big) hurry and got a bin bag of stuff that was only half way through flowering and it absolutely slaughtered me - very bright and heady, much better than expected. Smoked a lot of the leaves too, tres mellow.

Actually it was 2 Kenyans that ruined leaves for me -- they took inordinate amounts of time to painstakingly remove anything leaf from their buds - and they said it's because smoking the leaves is what give you the munchies... It made such an impression on me that I stopped smoking even the sugar leaves for a while haha
Not sure that's true at all?

First lot update
They all have gone crazy I cut out the main leaders to keep em short an let them all be the same height idea is to keep em roughly within the pots footprint. The 2 with low ph are recovered an growing well..

They all have
:weed::hump:a good look starting to happening.
The cup girls
:leaf:are really happy. I am impressed with their progress the Dieselmatic in green cup way ahead of the rest.
Krippleberry next an smallest is the Bubblegum.

Cup girls: I am growing them in seed raising mix with chem nutrients I want to see if they grow better than the organic compost.

:leaf::peace::leaf:Happy Gardener:leaf::peace::leaf::mrgreen:

Wow look at that dieselmatic go! Nice stem she's got there already too!
Are you going to give her more rootspace or is she going to have to prove herself in that cup? :bigjoint:

Yes its going into one of the green pots she has earned her own space, that stem has bark on it already, her sister looks like a vine the stem is soft an pliable very odd shes in the clear pot I am leaving her to do her thing. :leaf::peace::leaf:

Update of the cup girls, very happily growing along I re potted the dieselmatic into a party cup. I chopped the other DM cos of soft stem not enough space to waste on a maby.
The yellowing is from the back light not actually in the plant very happy with results so far.
The other girls are going only okay I made a big mistake off my face, I accidentally fed them with the cups fertiliser, strangely only one of the MM got burnt in the same pot,the rest got minimum fert burn. I flushed with 1 ltr each pot they seem alright But I think they be ready mid Jan
I turned off the side lights Just running top light for now, Does anyone think this will slow them down even further ? :leaf:Thanks for looking in :leaf: happy gardening:leaf:
:peace:Merry Christmas to everyone:peace::hump::joint::bigjoint:

recovering from over feeding chem over compost nearly killed em. They are way off they stopped flowering, wilted, treatment dunk an drain x 10 trim off any large leaves. They are responding well enough to keep, scraped the 2 MMs to far gone to save.

The time has come to cut the first grow out of the box at a 100 days. What a pain the combination of too hot compost new lights new box first run 24/7 was a Joke.

Learnt a lot though. The autos that would`nt flower until dropping to 20/4 then seamed to re veg ?? after trimming shade leaves to let light through..Out of the 4 survivors after eating an smoking throughout the grow I have 30gs of fluff which went into the Christmas cake.

The side panel lights where IMO way to close, there out replaced with emergency blanket, only running top light now.

The trimmed ones haven't stretched at all while the others have a lot The Diesel has had the leader cut early but still is the biggest an ahead of the rest lots of hairs yum

I think your right, It looks like light distribution would be much better if the proximity were another 12" away. I'm sorry to hear that you've decided to cut them, they look strong in those pictures. I think with certain lights like these in due to spectral/light output they can take longer to finish but that doesn't mean they cant produce decent results given time. I still believe red light and proximity/intensity can affect the flowering process based on my small experiences with growing and from what I've read. Under 16 hours of light I've had certain rare-to-flower species begin under cheap LED panels as they grew closer to the light like the SA sativa i mentioned.

I don't want to sound like a know-it-all i just like to share my opinion. :) Best wishes in your future growing. I'm sure those panels will earn their keep it just takes a little more patience imo.

Bit of an update Looks like the side lights did have a positive effect after all, as you can see thin on underside bush on top
Kb

Di
The diesel is the best all round it seems to take all the abuse an still shines over the others

Bg
this is burnt from from the light cant move higher so I have tilted it over a bit .

Lesson learnt dont trim autos the obvious difference is clear to see. The chem grow was Okay but back to organics

next grow will only be 2 plants also replacing side lights.
