Leaching weed in hydro

Some people say 10 days, some say two weeks. I always used 2 weeks in ebb and flow and 5 days in DWC.

I was thinking of using 7 days this time in ebb and flow, I know I get bomb buds off of two weeks leach and smokes amazing with white ash, but I was thinking and others have said that I would get higher THC/CBD/CBN etc. off of 5-7 days leach instead of 14.

One of the nice things about being legal and creating your own meds is we can experiment without fear if our script allows us a reasonable amount of plants. We need a lot of plants to be able to experiment with different cannabinoids as they all heal us in different ways. Fuck people that say plant counts mean something, they don't know anything about medical patients, phenotypes, or medicine.

Flushing is overrated. Seems to slow down the bud when done in hydro, I would take it until last 5 days. Also wait until the bud is more or less ready before flushing if in hydro or else you are missing out on potential.
Even in Ed's latest book on harvesting he suggests that flushing in hydro is counter intuitive. Just don't feed to high in flower, give it constant light feedings.

Just don't listen to the guys on here who tell people just to grow with no permit, they are setting people up to fail.

It would be cool if you tried out different times... Harvest 1/3 of the plant with no leeching, once again at 3 days, and once again at 5-7 days.
Maybe you find a preference by doing that.

does seem out of character...from a few years back. Sure not everyone can get along...that's a given but most of us have not
even had any words with him and he still insist on attacking a portion of the group here. strange if you ask me...
hopefully he is alright...or not becoming ill...

to stay on topic.
I don't think flushing is needed,as someone else mentioned its counter intuitive , to the whole process.
though experimentation is what brings solid results...so have at her...
personally I use a living soil and only feed my plants water...throughout the entire grow...keeping it simple so to speak...

He hates GB because he's so beautiful......in a man love kinda way. After all, it is 2018....I think he's gotta a grudge.

I think I have seen the results...my leach vs. my buddies same strain.

Mine was a million times better tasting and smoking with flavour smoke.

His tasted like chemicals and was not the sticky icky like mine when you busted it.

So...leaching has some effect for sure. In hydro.

Same drying and curing methods? IMO that has alot more to do with taste than feeding. To me starving your plant for the last two weeks is just crazy talk...all your really doing is hurting yield. But taste is a subjective thing so...do what you like.

Yeah I think at least the drying was the same since I borrowed his rack to dry. What do you mean don't do it? Like not at all? I know for a fact that you can leach some minerals out due to root zone osmosis, and you will see the results with your EC pen in the tub.... you don't even do at least a few days of just light solution?

Depends on what the my instruments are telling me. If EC is rising, I dilute my solution. I basically feed the same strength the entire grow. Sometimes I may add a bloom booster but dont think its worth the expense. I may run straight water for the last day or two but thats more to save nutes than anything else. Not worth mixing a fresh batch for a couple days to only be dumped down the drain.

Theres alot more to it, but I would have to explain my feeding process in RDWC, top offs and such. I much better at doing than teaching...lol

Gotcha. What's the old adage anyways, teachers teach because they can't do? lol. I get you though, this time I am going to leach less than 2 weeks, maybe 5 days in the ebb and flow. Mostly because that's when the water is due for a change out anyways.

If you're satisfied with your results, dont change a thing. But if you're on a quest for max yield...big girls dont get that way on a diet!
