I am not trying to say your right or your wrong. Yes Americans made slaves do unimaginable things but a slave is a slave wet her the we're only used for scrubbing toilets to picking fields. If they were not.paid they were a slave. A slave is a very broad word

I was just refuting your comment that Canada brought slaves over from Africa before America did. To my knowledge that's not true. The slaves that ended up in Canada were purchased from American slave owners.

What is the argument? That slavery was OK, or are we now denying there was ever slavery?
 
@stowandgrow I did not say that canada had slaves before America(if it's wrote that way I apologize.) I was just stating other countries were slave trading even before America. Yes America was in the top 3 or 4 but there were other countries before America. I believe the Indies were but can't grantee it

We actually didn't invent slavery techincally. But No Slavery Is Not OK On Any Terms No Matter The reason.
 
For all that.say what they want I am no racist by any means nor do I agree slavery was correct. I believe the past is past and what is done in the past should be taught this I'd what it was and should never ever be no longer. the flag was a battle flag not a racist flag or a flag of hatred

No, not implying that at all. Go read londonfogs comments where he implies America created the worst form of slavery the world has ever known.

That's what I'm arguing, America isn't the evil inventor of chattel slavery or even slavery based on ethnicity. These are barbaric practices that have been perpetrated by every race. It's a humanity problem, not a white American problem.

Correct, the Confederate battle flag was only used by a few Confederate Armies. Notably General Lee who opposed flying it after the war, stating that it's best not to keep open the wounds of war. It pretty much went away after the Civil War and became popular again during the civil rights movement, it should be taken down.
