new year, new log. going to put both indoor and outdoor shots in here. ok lets get the ball rolling.



in the lighted hoop house is mothers for the full season and light light dep as well as some spring flowering plants.

beds are rocking after locking them up at first. i put about two, five gallon buckets of hot, on top of each bed. they were not turned well enough. with clones and super soil the mix needed to be homogeneous and the guy that turned them didnt make it that way. i ripped them out after about a week. (noticed a robust root structure) mixed the dirt til it was homogeneous and cut each bed with 1 bag happy frog. as you can see they are dark green.

you might notice some white stuff on the leaves its just the residue from the cal carb.

edit today is day 1 of flower

yield is good expecting close to 2 with air exchange. when the room gets sealed id expect 2.2 per light. mostly og's for future runs in here. probably larry next time

some progress:



netting up as of last night. sprayed green cure 4 days ago and my brix mix last night. temp/humidity holding steady. cycle timer on exhaust fan is set to: on for 2 minutes, off for 10.

outside: half the 400 gallon containers in lower garden are turned and amended. waiting on shipment from down to earth to turn the rest. adding 6 200 gallon containers to the upper garden to accompany the 8 1000 gallon containers and new 12x16 hoop/light dep. two fresh pallets of black gold (160 cubic feet) sitting in the driveway waiting to be amended. lots to do..

my brix mix consists of the following:

liquid ingredients
organic gem fish
humax
molasses
organic malt extract
yucca
kelp
oxidate
THAT

dry ingredients
maxicrop
sugars
kmag
ascorbic acid

ph adjusted to 5.8
orp 125-150

doin werk:


built this new screen to sift castings and eliminate those annoying clumps.

each 400 gallon bed was amended with the following:
25# fish bone meal
10# bat guano
10# gypsum
5# alfalfa meal
5# feather meal
5#blood meal
5# crab meal
2 cups magnesium sulfate

no rocks this year because i put so much rock phosphate and azomite last year

Yucca? Damn nice.

The Native Americans would use it as a natural organic soap and also braid its twine into rope and lashings. Very similar to aloe Vera but I've never heard of anyone putting it in their mix. What's its benefits? +

i use yucca in all of my foliar sprays as an emulsifier. helps spread and adhere the spray to the surface of the leaf.

about to go beast mode fo sho. how big are you're raised beds pictured above? I was thinking about running 2 x 4x4 raised beds next year under my six hundreds... just want to know what the exact benefits vs smart pots are (not that I cant see that the above pictures are about to go hard).

each bed is 4x8. for a cheaper option u could use large smart pots like the ones i use outside. or you could have rectangular ones custom made from smart pot. (pallets placed under neath either for drainage). i chose this option because its the easiest to work with. rigid sidewalls makes it easier to tend and re-amend. plus they look a lot better and are permanent. also the entire bottom of my beds are lined with landscape fabric and hardware cloth. the bottoms drain and air prune the roots so essentially they are hybrid smart beds.
