Have had my eye on the autocobs.$499 for the autocob vs $699 for the optic 1 4 pack deal.

From the little i know of the cob scene is there that much of a difference in cxb3590 vs Citizen 048 1812 chips?
Why would you pay $175 per COB with the Optic 1 when you can get a much better deal from places like Timber grow lights, Rapid LEDS or Cob kits? West Coast who does the reviews on youtube has an invested interest in those lights, that is why he talks up the Optic range. You can buy the Optic Leds from SunPlus Led who are the manufacturer for half the price. I have read comments where people say they are not the same spectrum yet the companies that sell the Optic Led range and SunPlus show exactly the same spectrum and par maps ?

More than likely i won't be spending $175 per cob.....as i ain't mad at my money.I'm cool with the price of the autocobs at $499 for a 4 pack.I'm interested in the all in one units and being able to move them where one wants.I am looking to add these to a hps vert grow as some sup light in a 5x7 space as i want to use the entire room instead of the doughnut style of vert growing.

I will be purchasing something from either cutter or timber also soon but that will be for a different space.

Don't really pay much attention to that westcoast kat....his voice erks the shit out of me.

I see SunPlus has one called Grow bulb 150

I asked SunPlus for a price list they sent me a pdf if you want it I can send it to an email address. The grow 150 is $80usd I am not sure about shipping you could always ask if you are interested. They mention the led source as Nichia / Epistar. As for West Coast he does not like me very much he banned me from his channel as he does not like the truth. I mentioned the Optics LED he is pushing are overpriced and that there were better options available he said I was spreading misinformation because it did not agree with his view. I can not believe so many people believe his BS, there are plenty of idiots willing to hand over their cash it is amazing.

I inquired a little while ago about this option, the prices advertised are NOT real. I inquired on the vero 29 at 40$,
this is the real price breakdown

Bridgelux Vero29 Gen7/3000K/80Ra/38V is available in stock.
The price as below:
Bridgelux Vero29 Gen7 3000K cob: 21.5usd/pcs;
Glass lens KB-HB78-90: 3.0usd/pcs;
Heatsink Φ135*H70mm(for 55-65W): 11.5usd/pcs;
HBG-60-1400: 18.5usd/pcs;
Pothook + Plug + waterproof connector + Screws: 4.0usd/set;
In addition, you need to buy thermal paste, molex cable for vero29. ( these are not available for us )

complete kit comes to 58.50$ each so not crazy far off the advertised price but Shipping is killer, I asked about buying 4 of them and shipping to canada was 88 USD, thats almost half the order itself, plus duties etc. in the end with shipping for what your getting at 50w each, they are not that great a deal.

hmmm let me see 88/4 is 22..58+22 =80$.. So you are saying that 80$ for ready plug and play led is too much??

I think what he maybe getting at is the price is listed as x but the real cost is y that is false advertising if you ask me they should have to reword the title of the ad or change the price. I have sent a message to Kingbrite asking for the price break up etc they say $40 and show a photo of a complete hanging cob if that is not what you get for $40 then it is misleading imo.

it seems to be a trend with alibaba. Every inquiry i have had for something on that site has been enormously higher in price and not necessarily the same product pictured/described. Is it possible the website, alibaba, asks the vendor the price breakdown by quantity? And automatically or offers to list the lowest cost/highest quantity cost as it's display.

Yes I am, 4 of those lights comes to 234 US plus 88 USD for shipping. So about 324.

I just paid 335 US (thats including shipping) for 4 x Vero 29 3000k 80 CRI C version with heatsink, wire, dimmer, and hlg-320-2100b to run them at 75w each from RapidLED.

So yes I say there those kingbrites at 80 USD for 50 watts is not a good deal.

If it's the vero 29c I think you need the 1050 mA driver to get 75ish watts, not 100% sure tho.

Yes I'm running the leds in parallel and series. The driver couldnt handle 280v
So I'm doing 2 strings wired in parallel, so total voltage should be around 140v and split the 2100mA in half so each string will get 1050 ma. Which brings me to around 75w.

Nothing satisfying ever happens when I try to deal with an Ali Baba vendor.
I tried communicating on a couple of occasions with Jerry and the woman who answers his mail and it always turns to shit. I find that the more specific I get with my questions (can you guarantee that the Vero is <part_number_of_my_chosen_Vero_29>), the more vague or unconnected the answers become. Where I live and work, I meet with and communicate with a lot of people from both mainland China and Hong Kong, and no one that I have met personally has any difficulty at all communication about anything technical. Unless they are dodgy, then its a case of 'no speak Ingrish'.
