My last harvest produced 14.3 ounces of quality flower running Jack's 5-12-26, calcium nitrate, and epsom salt from start to finish. 600 PPM until flower when I increased to full strength at 780 PPM. I did a 4 day flush and a slow dry for 7-8 days. The smoke is smooth and tasty. There isn't a soul on earth that could tell me if this was a soil or hydro grown plant by taste, appearance, or high. Jack's really is a fine fertilizer that grows top shelf flower. I'll continue with a 4 day water only at the end. It's the same thing I've done in the past with soil plants with excellent results. I think flushing really is a myth at this point.
This time I have decided to setup a scrog net. I made my own with 1/2" PVC with center reinforcements and high quality 1/8" nylon line for the net itself. I created 4" squares and it took me 3 trips to home depot and nearly 5 hours to complete. I probably shouldn't have gotten high before I started
It turned out beautifully. What do ya think? I'm no craftsmen so this really is exciting for me. I mounted it to a 5'x5'x6 1/2' grow tent frame without the tent. It works perfectly as a mount for the screen. I have discontinued maxi grow and am using jack's exclusively again. I only used the maxi grow twice so far, and after seeing my stellar results with Jack's I no longer am interested in making any changes to the previous grow's feed regimen.
My goal is to improve each grow to make the process easier and more efficient and I will share my successes and failures with RIU. It's gonna be a lot of fun I'm running gg#4 again and I plan to let all 4 plants fill out the net for 2-3 weeks before I begin flowering. 100% perlite hempy buckets this time. I just didn't care for the coco.
Here's some pics of my new scrog net and vegging clones. Jack's really is some great stuff. The only additive I'm using is floralicious plus which is just kelp, humic acid, molasses, and beneficial microbes. For the summer I'm sticking with 1x 600w HPS with my air cooled hood.
And the stockpile from the last harvest. Jonny won't be running out anytime soon
