sun systems are a good brand from what i have heard. htg supply lights are also pretty good, thats what i use... decently priced also...

Those Sunsystem all-in-one HPS units are the bees knees for quick and easy small space lighting. Another route you could go is build a ballast kit so you can have it remote from the reflector. Cool air is a premium in tight spaces and having a remote ballast helps a lot.

Hey man, I have two sun system lights, a compact 250hps and a 400. They are great, the 250 is pretty heavy, and I'd bet that 150 might be heavy... and it'll produce a good amount of heat. The 400 I have is air-cooled and has a remote ballast, it runs cool and is very light. I get my stuff from BG hydro, they are extremly good/reputatble and for the stuff I've gotten, they are cheaper and have a pricematch I've also used.

i have this light it works great. htg has a floralux that is pretty much the same, except there is a hole in the floralux that you can use to vent the light. both lights are good. btw where did you get this idea in the first place?:-P
feel free to PM me if you have an questions.

I've grown four crops with CFL's and am tired of airy buds. So the first thing i looked to was lighting. I think i will look for a remote ballast. The more stuff i can remove from the cabinet, the better.

Thanks so much everyone!

I had that one for a closet grow i tried about a year and a half ago. It worked really well and now my friend has been using on and off for the past eight months. doesn't make to much heat. It isn't heavy i took it a few miles to my friends house in a backpack. The ballast is enclosed in the reflector (one side is slightly heavier because that is where the ballast is concentrated) but it's not a prob. as long as you have a fairly good ventilation system it should be perfect for small places.
