Flowering Day 11

Hey Folks,

Budsites are popping up and developing day by day. It’s crazy to see such strong changes in 24 hrs. Last night the Madcap received a 1/2 gallon of water with 2tbsp of LaB. I’m thinking about giving her half a dose of Neptune’s Harvest Fish Hydrolysate 2-4-1. She was top dressed with Worm Castings last week, but she’s been in that soil for a month in a half. Which makes me think it’s time to feed. I’m not seeing any deficiencies so I might hold off.

C99 was top dressed with EWC and MBS, so next watering will be a plain one. This upcoming week they’ll be getting a Sprouted Seed Tea, and a Compost Tea a week after that.

Temps have been great:81 with RH 50-60. It seems like this grow is speeding along, might be because of the 11/13 or that this is the best I have done taking care of them. Not much else to say, hope y’all are doing well.

Flowering day 15

Hey folks,

Things are going pretty well in the cabinet and it seems like both plants are developing at the same exact time. Unfortunately C99 is experiencing a little nutrient burn as you can see a little bit of the claw. However it has taken well to the Fulvex (derived from Magnesium Sulfate aka Epsom Salt). I have been experiencing some issues with deficiencies on my C99. There has been some brown spots on the leaf margins and I thought it might be mites, but after inspecting 14 leaves, nothing was found. Super stoked about no bug *knocks on wood*. Anyways someone mentioned Cal-mag and a potassium deficiency. I read k def’s can yield small leaves which has been happening with C99. It also might be too close to the lights, so might turn them down

Anyways, the Sprouted Seed Tea, should be ready tonight. I’m still deciding whether to give the SST to the C99 because I don’t want to further damage it, but it is just enzymes. Ah well i’ll figure it out. Here’s some pics

Hey Folks,

2 days ago I gave both Sprouted Seed Tea with some Fulvex and Silicate which they took to the SST well. However, the C99 is still showing signs of a Calcium deficiency, so today I bought some Roots Organic Elemental Cal Mag. It seems the most organic out of all the other “Organic” choices, but it’s not OMRI listed. Anyways I top dressed both of the plants (I’m kind of thinking I didn’t need to top dress the Madcap) so hopefully i’ll start seeing changes in the next few days. The small sugar leaves are already covered in resin but no smell so far on both. The Madcap has had a consistent tennis ball fragrance on the stem rub and the C99 has a muddled smell, I can’t really pick up a distinct note(s). It does have a puckering effect at the end of the note, like grapefruit, which would be badass if this was the pheno. Time will tell. Enjoy the photos.

Flowering Day 22

Today is the start of Week 4 and we’re a third of the way through.

Madcap was watered with LaB last night and side Dressed with Langbeinite today. It’s growing quite vigorously and putting out quite a bit of resin. The trichomes are standing y’all and covering leaves. I’ll include a photo at the bottom where you can see quite a bit of Trich development. It’s putting on weight everyday and what I can tell it’s stopped stretching. I side dressed it with Langbeinite for the rest of the grow.

C99 is looking better in some places and not so much in others. I bought the langbeinite for her, because of suggestions from multiple sources saying there’s a potassium deficiency. So I side dressed with Lang. and watered it with LaB. Unfortunately it won’t be for a couple days until I see some changes.

Flowering Day 26 from flip

Hey Folks,

The plants are looking fantastic and bulking up. Madcap is pretty big and resinous it’s not even halfway done. While rubbing a fan leaf with trichs, the smell on my fingers was a Blueberry Flintstone’s Kids Vitamin. Trichs are spread all over and doesn’t seem to be losing speed. I saw some necrotic spots on the tops but haven’t seen any new spots since top dressing with CalMag and Langbeinite. Last watering I did feed it with 1tbsn/1/2gal Of Fish Hydrolysate and today I top dressed with Kashi and watered her. The think next time I feed i’ll di half of what is recommended. They’ve been in this soil for almost two months I assume food is running out, but it doesn’t look like that’s the case. I’m watering every other day now, but this plant is a monster, I can’t wait to see, smell, and smoke what this will produce.

Upon listening to The Pot Cast with Duke Diamond (#2nd one) he talked about C99 being such a calcium hog. That did relieve my worries about the soil because I added 2-3 Tbsn of Crab Meal to the soil before mixing. In the moment I thought that would take care of the high calcium needs. Anyways I thought I might have added too much and locked out Nutrients. Well I don’t think I did. It’s doing much better, but looks much worse. It’s odd though, because the plant is praying so hard. I’m guessing the damage has been done, but the buds are pretty frosty. The trichs shine much brighter than the madcap, they almost sparkle. Today I gave her 1.5tsp of Fish Hydrolysate and next time she’ll be top dressed with Kashi. The sugar Leaf rub is hard to decipher, some tropical fruit with skunk on the end. I think she’s going to turn out great. The harvest weight will definitely be effected by the CalMag and potassium issues, but I know the high will make up for it.

I love the c99 definitely has that pineappley smell with some hopsness to it great smoke. Glad your progressing still man!

Flowering Day 30

Hey Folks,

We’re halfway there and it’s not losing speed. I pruned quite a bit today, A lot of larf and fan leaves that we’re blocking light. The upside to all the larf is i’ll be smoking that tomorrow. I’m all out of weed and fucking broke so this half-grown weed has gotta do. Lol.

I watered the Madcap today with Silicate and last watering I top dressed it with Kashi. It’s doing really fine, no signs of stress or deficiencies. I can see a lot of growth happening everyday. I am going to lay off watering with Fish Hydrolysate and next time around give it it’s last dose of LaB. I was told to cut it off after 35 days of flowering.

Top dressed the C99 with Kashi and gave her plain water tonight. She has recovered from the Cal and K deficiency and is really starting to look green. She’s also been stacking so that’s relieving. I don’t expect her to yield much. It didn’t quite stretch as tall as the Madcap so the tops are a lot lower. I would be happy with at least an Ounce but we shall see. I might do a staggered harvest, to get more bud. Other than that she’s doing great.

Have a great and safe 420, hopefully i’ll catch a buzz with that larf. Hahaha

Flowering day 42

Hey Folks,

I know it’s been about twelve days, my apologies. I have seen some Red Spider Mites within the fast 4-5 days. I thought they were Red Clover Mites because how big they are, as well no visible damage or webs. Talked to @hyroot and he said it was Red Spider Mites, I looked further into it and bought some Andersoni Predatory Mites. There still isn’t any damage I can see physically, and every bug I have looked at under the microscope is dead. I didn’t want to blow this hard work, so I put my order in.

Other than the Mites, both plants are doing well. The MadCap’s colors on the leaf margin and calyx tips are starting to turn purple. The stigmas are coloring brown and calyx’s are getting bigger, wouldn’t say they are swelling (even though they technically are... semantics). They are starting to smell more on the nose, to the touch there is sharp blueberry with kush in the background. It’s sticky as hell too, which come from the Afgooey in its lineage.

C99 is doing really well even though it still looks pretty rough from the K/Cal/Mag issue and overwatering. 50% of the hairs have receded and the calyx are liking fat. According to the breeder it still has at least 20 more days. The fragrance from touching the resin is super complex I’m getting :burnt rubber/skunk, lemon cleaner, nail polish remover and Pineapple. These are fragrances that come to mind, sometimes they are different every day, or maybe it’s me that’s different. Anyways, that’s what I’m getting.

Both plants soil has some great mycelium runs. Pure white fungi spreading on the Barley straw and throughout the soil. Tomorrow they’ll be getting a Kashi Blend tea And maybe a compost tea.

Flowering Day 61

Better late than never... I have some bad news. I had to cut my C99 down, because It got bud rot. Upon opening buds there were these brown spots right at the bottom of each calyx. I looked underneath the microscope and the brown spots were necrotic. Every single bud had aforementioned necrotic spots at the bottom of each calyx. People mention that happening with bud mold. I did see actual mold creeping outside on one bud. The bud I cut off and tried to smoke made me queasy, so I did away with it. I had rh at 80% consecutively and with all of the cal mag issues it was weakened and succumbed to it. Someone also hermied which I’m guessing was the C99. Because she got it the worse. Now that it’s down to one plant the rh has been perfect 42-46 throughout the day maybe 50-60 at night. Madcap is doing really well and is almost done, I’m just waiting on the trich’s. One bud had all cloudy trich’s while the other kids were like 75cloudy 25clear.

In other news I’m revegging the C99, there is some new growth, I hope it pulls through. If it does I’m going to clone her and then flower her. Some bud I smoked from her that wasn’t contaminated was pretty damn good. Nice confusing stone. Wish me luck, I’m also going to try and reveg the madcap. It’s a beautiful perfume smell and I like the high from it so far. I still haven’t had dried and properly cured bud from it though. Soon.
