Javadog's Next Adventure

You know Bass, for all the occasional drama, I think that TGA does amazing things.

Qrazy Train is probably my most missed breed grown.

The hard part, right now, is that the two TGAs I want the most just
might be going male on me. While I am still holding out hope, the
last plant of both Jack The Ripper and Jack's Cleaner 2 are beginning
to look male.

Usually, when I start to see pre-flowers that seem slow to show hairs,
that it is a pollen sack that is just not apparent yet.

We will see. None of the next rack of test plants (clones) in the flowering
tent, to force sex, have shown so I do not know what to do yet.

The Veg-into-Flower transition is working well though. The next plants up
are ready and those in waiting are ok with the extra time.

Take care,

JD

I think Querkle is TGA, and I loved that one, and thats the only one I have tried so far.

I have heard so many good things about that one.

...I went ahead and did a CL search for it a while ago. I actually
found someone selling clones, but they were out when I contacted
them. They will be letting me know when a clone is ready. :0)

The reviews I have seen for Querkle were obviously the Urkle leaning ones.
Thats what I expected.
What I got (clone) was a Sturdy tall and wide self supporting TREE.
The buds were extra Shiny and went down entire branches.
I got 8 oz from her 7 gal pot (soil-less)
Stoned and energetic with great taste/smell
No purple color at all.
I think Dream Queen (Green Crack) was the other strain in this hybrid, and thats where she took most from.

She looked tall and lanky till buds set in, and she flowered early and was done in 8.5 wks with lots of amber (?%?)

I have been changing and flushing res every 10 days.
I do a partail flush with just water and DM at 5 days, and thats today.
I feed the hempys at that time and flush time as well.

Anyway the hempys are starting to have roots coming through the inner buckets now to get to the res.
The roots are BRIGHT white too.
there are 3 of them on is tiny, one medium, and one is close to the EBB ones.

The scheduling is interesting, but I am happy to hear that
the hempys are holding their own. :0)

Your hempys are bucket-in-bucket? My hempy's reservoirs
are filled with hempy material, like the rest of the buckets.
I find that they can still be filled, and poured off, at will.

Hey, on that note, I flushed and fed the Vegging hempys this morning,
and one of the plants went against the statement above....this
is to say that after I flushed it, it never seemed to settle down
to where all of the extra water was down in the bottom of the bucket.

Tilting this bucket over, way over, had little effect on the run-off.
It never stopped oozing out the hempy-hole. It is actually still in
a large saucer, hours later, waiting for the all-clear before it goes
back into the closet.

Remember that I cannot fit saucers under them when they are in the
closet, so I have to make sure that they have made all the run off
before I put them back.

I can usually just give one a good long drain and then tip it to give
up a bit of its reservoir, and this works just fine.

The plant that is behaving so odd is the Deep Psychosis.

All I can figure is that while it has been growing, decently, above
the ground, that it has been going crazy, growing roots.

Sorry for the novel. This plant will need to be checked when I finally
dump it out on the soil pile.

Onward and upward,

JD

I have one of the hempys tjat weighs more than the others after it drains.
I think root mass is lighter than anything else, and that more roots will drain faster than less roots.
This is just a theory though

Hello all,

I took down Sour Cherry right before lights on last night:

4 Sour Cherry.jpg

She made a little bush, and filled in below to such an extent that
I will surely end up with a fair amount of (delicious) larf, but that
was the fault of my own plant layout, and each branch made a nice
fat nug on the end:

5 Sour Cherry.jpg

I do wish that the Kapow! did not make it look like I was a total
fucking bastard to the girl. LOL

More to come.

Here's a fun one, taking the slot of Sour Cherry #1 in the flowering
tent turned out to be Sour Cherry #2.

Recall that this baby was slow enough to show its pre-flowers in Veg that
I had to kinda stump it to restart when I put it into its hempy:
Sour Cherry 2.jpg

Well, as it began to take off I tied it down:

...and when its main branches began to show take-off vigor
I decided that it needed to get into the tent:

I am curious as to how this plant will stretch.

That SC looks great!
What does she smell like?
I was planning on buying the SC but was hoping for the colored pheno, but yours looks just as good!

Thanks guys!

Yup a hempy.

The smell alive is spicy and musky and sweet.

"Sour Cherry" is a decent description. :0) I look forward to the
post-cure smell and then, the ground up smell, the just burnt and
in the lungs smell/taste, the taste-upon-exhale taste, and the
after-taste.

:0)

BTW: I should be able to sample some decent Cheese Surprise soon,
as this one is being cut up and jarred today.

Here is my classic three shot combo, with ambient light, the camera's
flash, and then me pointing an LED flashlight at the same bud.

Ambient:

The led and ambient lighting share some similarities, but the slight purple ambient shows is compounded in the led, or maybe just her glimmer playing tricks on my eyes?
Also the led seems to portray the hairs as an almost carrot color as opposed to the brownish from the ambient.
The flash adds an almost hps yellowing to it..
