I have heard about MK Ultra, but IIRC a check online did not turn
up any beans for purchase.

Great idea!

Hello all,

I decided that the Purple Wreck was too dismal to stay in the tent.

I checked it out after removing it from the tent, and I saw that it
really had not grown out of the original medium.

IMG_1747.jpg

I must have killed this baby's root system, by some means, at some point.

Not to worry, as I have two clones going and intend to get strong
Veg growth before I flower this one again.

The other plants in the tent have exploded, as expected. I begin week 3
of flowering next Monday.

Take care,

JD

P.S. I have moved on of the Cannaventure Mothers Mix females
into the pot and will be putting it into the tent tonight.

I am thinking that I will just stay at 12/12 in the tent and go
perpetual for a while.

Yea thats a pretty sad root system :( Sucks to kill a lady but life moves on, better to have more light and time for the healthy ladies then waste time on weaklings.

Keep on keeping on,

papa

Yeah....I am sure that this is probably the effect of intense root rot.

Today we are starting week 3. I will post photos tonight, but you will be
amazed to see the growth. They have put on about two inches every day.
They are now over 4 feet high.

I was concerned about when I started the mainlined Kosher Kush....silly me,
it rocketed and even though it, and the PurpleBerry, are standing on second
HD buckets it has rocketed up.

Take care,

JD

Yes, bud sites are forming. LOL, it is a good thing too, as last night I moved
the lamp from the pull-ups, and now it is hanging from the ceiling itself.
There is no farther to go.

It is definitely an improvement that I can examine each plant separately,
although I have yet to support any particular branches.

My "day" runs from 8PM to 8 AM and so photos will have to be this evening.

Here are some shots of the MCV (Mothers-Clones-Veg) area.

The sprouts are all out, but for three:
Sprouts.jpg

I already have a few plants in hempys. I am tying down the Somango and
one of the Cannaventure Mothers Mix females (I got 2 fems out of 5 beans)

They are a real hot mess! :0)
CVMM1-TiedDown.jpg Somango-TiedDown.jpg

The little CVMM female was too small to flower, but it is quite lovely:

Lastly, the mothers and clones of the plants in the tent:
Clones-Mothers.jpg

...a long way to go yet. Thanks for popping in.

looking good man. Which 3 seeds didn't pop for you? Looks like my hippie killer and the dog are my 2 casualties.

I lucked out, dog-wise, as this was the first to pop.

Only popped one, but who knows...maybe I'll get a males/pollen
tent setup this time. I would want to either HEPA filter its vented
air, or to find another room to put it (unlikely).

As to my failures, they are two Sour Cherrys and one Snow White.

The SW was a random grab, early on, from GHS and I am not
too worried about that.

I need to add that all of these popped. I only go to soil once they
pop. I am using a coir/perl/verm mix.

The SC seem prone to damping off which is what I expect killed them.

Only one sprout died after getting out of the soil, by damping off,
and this was Silver Kush. Well, it is not entirely dead, and I have
it out getting full sun. I am hoping to dry its soil out in time, but
I have little hope there.

The only beans that never popped at all were from the Sensi seeds
that were gifted to me. I expect that they are just old. I did get
one sensi BB, but ZERO Sensi Hash Plants...and I am trying six (!) beans.

Take care,

JD

Wow, that was a confusing post.

1. All beans popped but for a few old Sensi BBs and Hash Plants.

2. All popped beans are up and out of the soil but for Silver Kush
which died after getting out of the soil, and two SCs and one SW
that never got out of the soil.

It is a bit weird, as I usually lose sprouts, to over-watering, after
they pop out of the soil.

Take care,

JD

Yea I tried rockwool cubes for the BB seeds and regret it. I had never put seeds in wool before. I think it keeps them to wet, as all the BB seedlings have the drowned leaf curl to them. They popped a full 4 or 5 days before the attitude seeds even arrived, but the attitudes went in soil and the attitudes are now 3x bigger and healthier looking then the seedlings in rockwool.

Yeah that sucks...the Purple Wreck was definitely one of these, and
it was also a lesson: if I had wanted it to rebound then I probably
needed to go so far as to get it out of the bad soil and wash what
roots it has off.

You know your stuff Papa, as someone had to tell me about the look
of over-watering. It actually is shaped rather like the eagle-claw of death.

Damping Off it is a bit of a mystery....but too wet is almost always
part of the reason IME.

Good luck,

JD

Yea when I first started growing I did what I think many do, and "over loved them". My first batch was seeds made by a friend, and I LITERALLY misted them at least 1-2 times per hour...up until the day half of them died lol.

Ah yes, the new parent, who "knows the least and cares the most".

That's some nice seeds you got going there! At first I thought I had a pretty decent seed collection to last me a while but now I've been getting the urge to make another order from the Tude... With the Oct. Promo coming up sporting some interesting HSO gear I might have to take a stab at it, and then do some pollinating like you do. Definitely want to get that Green Crack mixed with something!

You are reading my thoughts.

The next months freebie is outstanding.

I might just bust the L30 limit, but I also might grab
the DNA free pack offer.

BUT Attitude needs to make my current order good.
It is AWOL right now.

Take care,

JD

Hello all,

I grabbed a few shots of the ladies right after lights out this morning.

As today marks the end of week 2, I am hopeful that the stretch is
coming to an end. As you will see, I am about at perfect height, and
would like to avoid pushing or tying over tops.

Here is the tent as of this morning:
IMG_1760.jpg
You can see that I have my light attached directly to my ceiling.

I currently have my sticks and wire positioned to keep the ladies from
growing out into each other, and so will have to be attaching individual
tops as these get heavy or need help spreading for best coverage.

The Headband exploded (!):
Headband.jpg

The OG #18 is also about done exploding:
OG18.jpg

The Latest (and last) pheno of PurpleBerry BX is female and not all
that weak after all:
PurpleBerry.jpg
Just watch, this one will explode and I will wish that I saved it.

Here is a look at the result of my work:

Take care all,

JD

Looking great man! Refresh my memory, how long of a veg did this crop get? Can't wait to see these bud out! We are in the same boat on the stetch, my GSC and Cherry pie mother got way larger then I was hoping for. They look similar sized as your headband and og, about 4 footers.

That sample nug looks A+, super frosty.

keep up the great work man,

papa

This is the headband before I transplanted it into it's hempy.

05 Headband.jpg

Note that I buried a great deal of stem when I did this.
(about half the height shown)

Now, this is one of the first pics from the tent, but I am
sure that it was already stretching.

Headband.jpg

I need to start taking better notes! ....but, all in all, I believe that these
had about six weeks from when their beans popped. Maybe eight.

Take care,

JD
