Well the 10 million x above normal radiation reading, apparently they read the meter wrong... I smell bs, and if it's not bs, then that smell is certaily replaced with a bit of worry as to why on earth these people are running the show, they seem to be a touch incompetent.
They seem to have trouble with decimil points they screwed up earlier with mili and micro ceverts = huge diffrence. I think this is the U.N. Nato mission we should have done, fly over that place dropping concrete with lots of lead dust in the mix all over that place.

I'd love to learn the figures of the money donated in aid to japan and the money spent on missiles in libya so far

The innocence of children and old folks... The wisdom of both.

William Faulkner : The last sound on the worthless earth will be two human beings trying to launch a homemade spaceship and already quarreling about where they are going next.

It's amazing that this thread has held together for this long. thanks to everyone that has contributed and shared news and opinions... I truly have some sympathy for those poor people. There is a 12 mile radius of poison that may soon have to be expanded... A lot of damage has been done, and we are only just now hearing about what they knew a week ago... It's easy to arm chair QB and post what they should have done. This is a learning process apparently. We should be closely scrutinizing our own plants and emergency disaster preparations. Something of this magnitude could just as easily happen here in the states or in your country.

Yeah, don't worry about that Nuclear Power plant that sits on the San Andreas Fault down in San Onofre oceanside right next to Camp Pendleton. After all it only has the potential to kill everyone in LA and San Diego, but I'm sure its no big deal.

Yeah.. I'm happy things are going well too.

I love posting on forums because it is what I learned. I started in 1984 and back then we used our phones to call someone's home computer to read and post. One person on-line at a time.

I'm hearing "plutonium found in the dirt." I think we are being spoon fed the reality of just how bad the situation is..
Now I hear reinforced stories about the sea water..

Wow.. The karma of it. Earlier this year friends were so mad at the Dolphin kills and I too had negative energy for that. Id never wish this on Japan but there is the Karma aspect to consider.

yeah no big deal.

What are we going to do for energy.. Obviously the reality of just one fuckup should be enough but like oil spills we seem to accept yet another hot spot on the planet.

Germany had a big shift in their politics. Election results suggest Nuclear there is in the endangered list.

NEW YORK (TheStreet) -- Solar stocks experienced a surge on election results in Germany, where Chancellor Angela Merkel's party suffered big losses, and with the German electorate citing anti-nuclear energy policy as a primary issue. The long-term implications of the Green Party election victories in Germany have to be viewed as a positive for green energy, but there are important short-term solar sector catalysts that could take away from the one-day surge in the days and weeks to come.
In the superficial rendering of German politics, Merkel's CDU party is the long-time friend of nuclear energy, and every time a new round of debate comes up over solar incentives in Germany, the solar industry has positioned the issue as "the nuclear lobby versus green energy."

The Germans put an anti-nuclear party in power..

They are rather cool. We had Nukes at Bitburg and Spangdahlem Germany in 1980 during the Cold War with the USSR.
The Germans marched to protest Nuclear. They knew if war happened that Germany would be a HotSpot and I knew I would have just a few minutes after I launched my aircraft to ponder the rest of my life.

ROFL.... I remember those days, 2400 baud modems and BBS boards.... I remember the first time I logged onto my favorite board that went multi modem.... I felt violated to see that someone else was playing Tradewars 2000 when I was also logged onto the board... Helll, back then we used to have computer enthusiast clubs... the first true adopters of the internet technologies...
