You what is very fucking sad?
January 6th is now a date that will forever be rememberd as a tragic part of the history of the United States along with April 12th 1861, the start of a 4 year battle to eliminate slavery that cost millions of lives and divided this Nation, the effects of which are still very visable today, over a century later.
Yea, January 6th, 2021, December 7th, 1941, November 22rd, 1963 and September 11th, 2001, all very dark days for America.
And you know what really sucks.
The division & the cracks were already there as in any truly Demcratic political system., but now after Trump exploding/exploiting those faults & the GOP riding that motherfuckers wave,
And who is the voice chosen that speaks for THEM, the fucking dopes/dregs of America's society, the under-educated, low IQ, racist Deplorables.
Yup, the dumbest assholes in this country are playing an oversized role in the direction of this country.
That's right
It's almost a dead heat as to who leads this country & the direction of this country, the college educated or the one's that got GED's.
And that's the reality
The illiterate vs the educated
The stupid vs the bright.
And the idiots/scary people are breathing down the necks of the sane as to who runs the show, and in a LOT of States they run the show
That's the USA & Democracy.
Holy shit
We're fucked
And Donald J Trump, that creature from Queens (a shite hole in case you don't know) led the way.
Unbelievable (not really/this is America after all)

I like this guy/fuck you if you don't :)

This is what Fox is talking about today.

Two realities and two versions of the truth lead to social division, people tend to believe the first thing they hear and more importantly, what they want to hear and see. The root of the problem is historical, but foxnews and hate media made it far worse and turned it into a culture war to expand it beyond the fanatical racist base. It's not just a political problem, but a media problem too, some people are lying, running a propaganda and psychological warfare operation on the public for profit, under the guise and cover of journalism. Until the media aspects of this issue are resolved the problem won't go away or be mitigated. The radio spectrum is public property, including those that flow on private wires, cable and the internet and they need to be brought under FCC control and have the FCC's powers strengthened.

As far as the divisions and cracks, they exist at any time in history. As far as widening them and exploiting them, the Republicans have done a remarkable job starting in earnest with Nixon and continuing through Reagan and Trump.

When your goal is victory at all costs rather than the good of the nation and world, it allows an enviable advantage as far as single-mindedness.

What really disturbs me is that the forces of evil have a dozen people to push forward after Trump. We don't. I can't see Biden actually run - so who will?

Ex-Trump official: Former president 'failed to meet the moment' on Jan. 6
Sarah Matthews, who served as a deputy press secretary in the Trump White House and resigned on Jan. 6 over the day's events, called the riots from a year ago "one of the darkest days in American history."

"Make no mistake, the events on the 6th were a coup attempt, a term we'd use had they happened in any other country, and former President Trump failed to meet the moment," Matthews wrote in a Twitter thread. "While it might be easier to ignore or whitewash the events of that day for political expediency — if we’re going to be morally consistent — we need to acknowledge these hard truths."

"One year ago, thanks to the courageous acts of many, democracy prevailed and Congress returned that night to ensure the peaceful transition of power," Matthews continued. "Let this day serve as a reminder of how fragile democracy truly is & the importance to protect, preserve, and cherish it."

Matthews previously worked as a spokesperson for the Trump campaign before joining the White House in 2020. She now handles communications for Republicans on the House Select Climate Committee.

Matthews resigned the evening of Jan. 6, 2021, after a violent mob of Trump supporters stormed the Capitol to try and stop the certification of President Biden's electoral victory.

Win in 2022 and you will win in 2024, a win for the democrats at this point will mean the extermination of the republicans as a party with voting rights, election laws and media regulation. A level playing field and tamping down disinformation is all that is required, they already know they have to cheat to win, so that says a lot. Foxnews can be legitimately removed from the air and cable based on their pandemic and insurrection coverage alone, they helped to kill hundreds of thousands with bullshit.

She worked for Trump and speaks of morality, give me a break, she knew what these people were and she was one of them and can't get away with the fact. She went along with the Russian shit and supported him through the impeachments, too little far too late. Then there's the Trump covid fiasco, she carried his water and collected tax payer money for that too.

And yet she is working for the committee that is trying to stop the Trump machine.

She is probably trying to limit her legal exposure and expenses, not to mention rehabilitate her career so she can work for someone other than OAN. Nobody worth a fuck would work for Trump, except as a duty to try and limit the damage he might cause.

Very good question.
No way Harris would be nominated, it would be suicide (mistake picking her for VP)
My choice, if you simply go by somone who is rational towards what can get done, has that capability and just generally the most sensible Democrat out there, Buttigieg.
Warren/Castro/Beto/Sanders (will be dead probably)/Booker?
Nope, I don't think so
But Buttigieg is a married Gay man, which might prove problematic in this backward society.
What do you think?

I don't buy the Harris hate-or-aid. She is doing a good job, and is just being trolled like a mother fucker because the far-right is scared shitless of running against her. And nobody wants to be in a debate with her. She is only 1 year in and has not been unleashed yet either.

But it doesn't matter, Biden will be fine to run as long as he is relatively healthy.

And even if he doesn't, the Democrats have a very deep bench. Even if the Democratic nomination sticks to the anti-troll old white guy route. Sherrod Brown (Sen-OH), Bennet (Sen-Co), Merkley, Bullock, shit even Joe Manchin would beat a Republican nominee pretty easily.

I'm not practical when I vote in the primary, it all comes down to who most closely aligns with what I want. At this time, Elizabeth Warren and Harris are closest to my political agenda. Maybe Booker but he has sketchy ties to big Silicon Valley firms. I don't think any of them can win the primary. It will be a candidate who is white, cis-male (a sop to systemic racism (etc.) among Democrats) and closer to the political center than an establishment liberal like myself would want.

I think Harris was a big reason for Biden doing well in the south
