Trump looks to block 770 pages of records from Jan. 6 panel: court records
In a court document filed on Saturday, John Laster, who runs the National Archive’s White House Liaison Division, says the former president is looking to withhold a variety of files, including records from senior advisers, schedules, call logs and daily presidential diaries.

The filings came in response to a lawsuit Trump filed earlier this month seeking to block the Jan. 6 panel from obtaining records from his administration.

Trump is arguing that the committee has not demonstrated a legislative purpose for the documents that would override his assertion of executive privilege.

The White House has said it would not assert executive privilege to block the panel from accessing the records. In a letter to the National Archives on Monday, White House counsel Dana Remus said Trump’s claim of executive privilege is “not justified.”

The first batch of 46 records includes records of daily presidential diaries, drafts of speeches and remarks, and three handwritten notes from Trump’s former Chief of Staff Mark Meadows regarding Jan. 6.

The second batch of records, which includes 656 pages of documents, mainly includes pages of binders containing talking points from then- White House Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany regarding election fraud and the 2020 election. This batch also includes a draft of Trump’s speech for the Save American rally that preceded the riots, and a “daft Executive Order on the top of election integrity.”

Additionally, Trump is asserting privilege over a third batch of 68 records, which include a draft proclamation honoring Capitol Police and officers Brian Sicknick and Howard Liebengood, who died after the Jan. 6 riots.

The third batch also contained records relating to a potential lawsuit against states that President Biden won in 2020, and document concerning the “security of the 2020 presidential election and ordering various actions.”
Nancy pelosi is hiding 1400 hours of footage in @Three Berries moms pussy though!

I hope that if Trump lawsuit is not thrown out, Biden just declassifies them and then releases them to congress himself. Since Biden is the POTUS, not Trump.

Judge says Gore, unlike Trump, 'was a man' and accepted election loss
"Al Gore had a better case to argue than Mr. Trump and he was a man about what happened to him," Senior U.S. District Judge Reggie Walton said, according to CNN. "He accepted it and walked away."

Walton was referring to Gore’s decision to concede the race to President George W. Bush after weeks of legal battles, which were triggered due to an extremely close vote tally in Florida.

The judge’s comments came during a plea hearing for Adam Johnson, the Capitol rioter who was seen carrying House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s (D-Calif.) lectern through the Capitol building during the Jan. 6 riots.

Johnson, 36, was arrested two days after the attack and charged with single counts of knowingly entering or remaining in any restricted building or groups without lawful authority, theft of government property and violent entry and disorderly conduct on Capitol grounds.

He pleaded guilty on Monday to the charge of entering and remaining in a restricted building or grounds, according to CNN.

Federal prosecutors said they will not seek prison time for Johnson, according to The Associated Press, but a judge will make a final determination at a hearing currently scheduled for Feb. 25.

Walton said he was concerned that Johnson might be persuaded to make similar mistakes in the future.

“And what concerns me, is that you were gullible enough to come all the way up here from Florida based upon a lie and then associate yourself because of that lie with people and try to undermine the will of the American public about who should be the president of the United States,” Walton said, according to the Bradenton Herald.

“I have concerns about whether you will be gullible when something like this arises again," he added. "That concerns me, it really does because we are in a troubled situation as a country."

Johnson accepted blame for the situation he found himself in, telling Walton that he got “caught up in the moment” and experienced a “hard couple of years” that prompted him to spend time “listening to a lot of information and reading things” online, according to CNN.

Walton is the latest judge to criticize Trump for falsely telling his supporters that the 2020 presidential election was stolen. Walton was appointed in 2004 by Bush, who defeated Gore in the highly contentious 2000 presidential race.

A federal judge on Friday appeared to imply that Trump played a role in the Jan. 6 attack on the Capitol by provoking his supporters, saying at a sentencing hearing that the audience at his rally preceding the riots were “called to Washington, DC, by an elected official, prompted to walk to the Capitol by an elected official,” according to CNN.

The judge, Amit Mehta, said the rioters were “a pawn in the game played by people who know better."

“People like Mr. Lolos were told lies, were told falsehoods, were told the election was stolen when it was not,” Mehta said, according to CNN, referring to John Lolos, the rioter being sentenced.

'Fight for Trump!': The FBI Has Identified 'Swedish Scarf,' A Most Wanted Capitol Rioter
The FBI has identified one of the most wanted perpetrators of the Jan. 6 Capitol riot, a man who took on a leadership role after storming the building while wearing a limited edition scarf from a city in Sweden.

The man has been referred to as “Swedish Scarf” by online investigators in the “Sedition Hunters” community who have been identifying participants in the Jan. 6 riot. The unique scarf was one of less than 1,000 given to former residents of the town of Skellefteå, Sweden, back in 2017, and the mystery of the man’s identity has drawn international attention.

His name isn’t public yet, but he’s part of an indictment against Danny Rodriguez ― the Trump fanatic who electroshocked Officer Mike Fanone ― and against Ed Badalian, a Trump supporter who went by “Trump Ed” online and was arrested earlier this month.

While there are no explicit references to “Swedish Scarf” in the indictment, a close reading of the document makes clear that he’s the suspect in question. The indictment tracks several of the actions that online sleuths discovered Swedish Scarf took on Jan. 6, including participating in the assault on law enforcement in a tunnel leading into the Capitol and later leading a group of rioters who had broken in through a window.

“Liberty or death, gentleman!” the feds say the man told officers as they tried to push rioters out of the tunnel area. “Hold the line!” he allegedly told other rioters as they battled. “Don’t surrender! Fight for Trump!” he allegedly said. “Push forward, Patriots! If you are gonna die, it best be on Capitol Hill!”

The indictment states that the man known as Swedish Scarf “led the rioters out of the initial room they had entered” and “assisted rioters who were attempting to gain access to a third office” by kicking the door and attempting to force entry. The feds say, as shown on footage, that Swedish Scarf and Rodriguez “opened bags in the office, rifled through papers on the desks, and subsequently removed escape hoods from the bags.” Swedish Scarf “carried two emergency escape hoods from the building when he exited.”

Before taking part in the riot, the man known as Swedish Scarf allegedly texted an associate that he was “at the capitol steps, it is going off, the people are breaking down the barriers, the battle has begun.”

Lots of folks do this sort of work in their spare time. They can track individual tanks as they leave Russia and end up in Yugoslavia, just from publicly posted media, so finding a man from a town of just 1K would be a cake walk. Hope they can help track down more of them before the SOL runs out.

What is the SOL? I could not find it for seditious conspiracy.

I figure someone on the inside of the conspiracy will or has cracked, there are many weak links there, people who stand for nothing but their own self interest. Many of Trumps henchmen and minions are starting to feel the heat and legal expense, Rudy comes to mind and it looks like Meadows is trying to weasel his way out.

I also think the SCOTUS has had enough of Trump, like most everybody else and might refuse to hear the case.

Trump ‘Lawyers Will Go To The Supreme Court’ If Court Rules For Release Of Jan. 6. Documents

NBC’s Pete Williams and Garrett Haake, Phil Rucker, and Barbara McQuade, join Kristen Welker to discuss an appeals court hearing in Washington today concerning the release of Trump White House documents to the January 6th committee that could shed new light on the investigation. “I think Mr. Trump’s lawyers are not going to succeed here,” says Williams. “I think it's pretty obvious that once they rule, which will be very quick, his lawyers will go to the Supreme Court.”

Your damn right it's going to go to the Supreme Court & if there was another court after that one, Trump's lawyers would probably talk him into continuing this farce.
He's not going to win.
Fucking impossible & his lawyers know that.
They are all just sucking him dry now, grabbing every nickel they can before Trump declares bankruptcy.
And that is almost certainly on the horizon :)

Putting the fucker in a cage is like trying to flush a cat down a toilet, but his day is coming and it will be NY state that does him in. It's obvious Garland wants noting to do with prosecuting Trump unless congress or a grand jury tell him to and then he'll wait till NY imprisons, breaks and muzzles him, while the republicans turn on him. Garland is gonna wait for NY to tie Donald down before he fucks him, as will the GOP, but Donald might run for the republican nomination from his maximum security cell in Sing sing and would probably win it!

The closer to the 2022 and 2024 elections that the shit hits the fan the better and more than Donald will get shit on them too. Expect these assholes to crack, squeal for deals, run for the exits and bust this and other conspiracies wide open in the next year or two. Grand juries both state and federal are working away and there will be lot's more of them.

How would it work?
Donald is convicted and is serving 10 years+ in a NY state maximum security prison. He wins the republican nomination and goes on to win the 2024 election from his cell. However, he still has to stay in his Sing Sing cell and you've have the " Big House " presidency! They could clean out a whole prison wing and give all his staff their own cells as offices, hang the presidential seal under the grub hole in his cell door. Have the SS agent pass his grub tray in through the cell door etc, MAGA. NY could even rent the cell space to the feds for the WH staff at inflated prices like a Trump golf course!
