the other day I was smoking with my mother. The weed was nothing special, mids, 40 bucks for 3.5, and she made what I thought to be a funny comment on it, she said: "it tastes like some homegrown!" and I kinda laughed and informed her that in a state with very little outside drug trafficking(aside from the coke) no dispensaries, and an almost impossible outdoor growing season, that just about every single bag we get is homegrown. sure some homegrowers are better than others, but in the end, anchorage and a good portion of Alaska's weed is supplied by hardworking folks like us, from closets to basements its all homegrown in alaska.

my mom doesn't like smoking with me because I'm a "know-it-all":)

Nice story. I've worked in Petersburg, Sitka, and Paxson (yeah, middle of nowhere!) and bought weed all three places. Generally speaking, expensive, but worth it considering how difficult it can be to find it sometimes. I was under the impression that a lot of bud came from BC as well? Anyways, peace.

well people that bring bud in from out of state usually bring it straight to the villages where they can get almost doubled sometimes tripled profits, I live in Anchorage and I'd estimate 80 percent of the weed is grown here in town.

Homegrown use to mean that shit was garbage. Not so much anymore. someone tells me they got some homegrown and I'm on top of that shit like a 90 year old guy on a 25 year old hooker.

To be more exact...

most of the good, well manicured weed is grown within 30 minutes of town...

That's Eagle River (my spot), Wasilla or Palmer, Butte FOR SURE, and Girdwood, and probably Indian :)

Those city growers, I don't trust them... when I would go get a bag from the city, it was practically uncured.

Can't wait to get back, one more year!

First things first... head to Kenai Lake for some camping!

I see nothing's changed, haha!

By the way, not sure where you go to get your equipment... but do you know about the lady on Boniface?

She is AMAZING, and super friendly... her shop is next to the gas station near the Glenn.

And I"m not talking about Far North... that place is a rip off IMO.

Wow there are 5 of us here now. Almost enough to have a party. I never had a prob finding good bud when I lived there but, after I moved to Dutch Harbor it got expensive. 100 dollar eights. Anchorage/mat-su has always had the best prices on bud. 40 for a fat 1/8th is a good deal in my book. Now that I live in San Diego I get the best available from 45-60 and eighth.
