How about the rest of the box? Does it have any numbers with a "k" after it?

Don't put that bulb near an aquarium either. I've seen that type of heat lamp in bathrooms, often on some simple timer. Reptiles can benefit from heat bulbs, but again, I wouldn't recommend that one.
The OP did not get a deal - they wasted 100% of the money they spent.

I have two of these in my bathrooms on timers. They burn extremely hot and are meant to heat you up after a shower as well as take humidity out of the room. I personally wouldnt use them. But i am a noob....

it is a heat lamp, but my box is five feet tall... its not like 6 inches away...
