Is this lack of Mg and Ga?

If you have an aquarium, clean the filter out into a bucket of water, then feed that to the plants, they normally respond within hours to correction of nitrogen.
A agree there could be a slight problem with magnesium. The centre of chlorophyll is a magnesium atom surrounded by four nitrogen ones... So, both are pretty critical.

Soil PH is a bit of a problem
May be above 7
So I suspect that the soil PH lock leads to the present results
How can i improve

The stuff most people keep in pots is closer to dirt than soil.
With an active variety of microorganisms and insects, the pH would almost always fall in the safe zone.
