Is this an issue?

I didn’t think they looked as bad as you’re saying but this is my first grow in a while—so I’m sure
They probably just have a smaller root system because of the veg’ing under fluorescents, and are having a hard time drying fast enough. I believe your Timber will speed up your growth immensely. It’ll also cause your root system to grow faster, too, and your medium to dry out faster. I’d say use your Timber and allow the root system to get bigger, feeling out how much water is needed each week. Every 3-5 days, that’s about what you want your schedule at.
I didn’t think they looked as bad as you’re saying but this is my first grow in a while—so I’m sure I missed something. I’ll let them dry out. Should I drop the timber Down some? Turn up the potentiometer?

What kind of space are you covering? I keep my 200w at about 12-18” above the canopy, as I said. I believe 40” is a bit high, even for 400w. Try 24”, and if they still stretch, drop them to 18”.

I’d also turn up the potentiometer. Personally, I just give it all 200w. Try like, 50-80%.

36x36. Is there such thing as light shock; too much light? Should I change the light schedule from 24/0 to something like 20/4 18/6?

I did read the post you keep switching your light back and forth fucking with them. Plant grows a hell of a lot in the dark cycle and you dont have spider mites
I’m not “fucking w them”. I started them on the cfl and introduced the timber. I’m not giving dark time—are you suggesting I have a dark period?

i have 4 going right now (3 Lemon og and 1 raspberry cough syrup). The 3 LOGH are 6 weeks into veg (these are the bigger plants), and the RCS is at abou 4 wks into veg. Details of the grow are at my journal link below. Environmentals are good and I’ve given no nutes as of yet (FFOF and Happy Farm mix medium). I had poor ventilation for a few days so humidity got a bit high in the tent—I thought a little WPM formed, so I sanitized the tent and lights vent etc. and sprayed the plants down w a little baking soda and water.

The grow has been a breeze so far, but the plants are starting to show different growth “patterns” over the past 10 days or so. The new growth has always been light green, but now the new growth looks a bit stringy. The plants are droopy a bit in the pics bc I just sprayed them, but they haven’t been as perky past week or so. Any ideas why this might be so? Does it look like an issue? Do they look small for 4-6 wks?

I’m veging w a 125w CFL and turned on my Timber 400w Vero Set (potentiometer at 20% @40 inches from canopy). I’ve slowly introduced the timber at about 10-12 hrs per day in a 24:0 light schedule. The other 12-14 hrs, I just have on the 125w cfl @ 6 inches from plants.

Again, are you suggesting I just keep the timber on now and take away the cfl? The timber has 3500k color which is why I was running the 6500k cfl early in veg. I thought it would be smart to slowly introduce the timber light—is that a no-no?

Why not and you need to introduce microbes in your soil to help break down the organic matter. How dried out are they you dont need them dried out all the way that just causes stress.

Why not run both then take the 125 out when you want to flower. lower the 400 down to about 18-24 inches from the top leave the 125 where its at. Switch to 18/6 feed it something dont over water dont under water both will cause stress.

The 125 isnt that much, cant complain about growth if your just rocking a 125. I dont think there is anything wrong with your plants.

More light 18/6 feed them and water correctly.

What are microbes?
Beneficial bacteria. Try Roots Organics OregonismXL. 13 strains of rhizobacteria, 3 Trichoderma strains, 7 endo/ectomycorrhizae strains, plus kelp and humic acid.

See, in organics, you aren’t feeding the plant. You’re feeding the microlife in the soil. They eat organic matter and shit out what the rhizosphere can take up directly. It’s self-buffering and isn’t as strict on pH. With synthetics, you feed the roots salt-bound (chelated) nutes that require a certain pH range to take up.
