Is there anybody else on here who works overnight ? I need advice

I will make up a bed in the turf shed so when you arrive you will have a place to rest your weary hooves. Then, in the morning you will awake to find all your questions answered, and I shall present you with a catechism in the form of a novel which, though slight in bulk, is of a fine and satisfying workmanship and your quest for answers will truly begin. Then, we will get hella stoned.

Best bet would probably be to just stay up for 8 or so hours, then sleep in the afternoon. That way it really is just a shift in times. Dont try to go to bed right after work. Thats just not normal. We all need our wind down time

The biggest thing is sleep patterns. Keep the same sleep schedule

Agreed. I worked 3rd shift exclusively when I was younger (11p-7a). Treated it just like a day job. Came home did my thing (errands, tasks whatever). Bed around 1-2p up at 8-9p back at work at 11p. Nature of the night shift beast dude. Your gonna have to sacrifice something, socializing or sleep. Maybe try to hang out with others who share your hours.

i worked nights many years basically replace day with night,
so you get off round 7am? , go home have something to eat, relax go to bed round 9, wake up at 6pm, do your daily stuff, clean the house, go shopping ect, and than go to work for 10,
just make sure youre doing your lunch breakfast wheny ou get up and at work and than if youre like me dinner after work or dinner at work whatever you choose, youll adjust , when you do sleep make sure everything electronic is turned off, phone most importantly because people are not used to night shifts the phone often rings or goes off alot

i werked in williston n .dakota in the oil fields ,1500 miles from home ,for almost 14 months 14hrs a day 7days a week sleeping in a 12x 20 - 2 room trailer .

you will make it just fine , just cowboy the fk up :joint:
