It is a sphere, the way a basketball is a sphere. The closer we get to the surface of the basketball, the more we can see tiny hills, valleys, bumps and imperfections, but its shape still fits the human concept of 'sphere'. Here's a photo...

That is a cgi image. I know you think google earth has the image but if you zoom in and look close I'm sure you can see repeating formations that couldn't be coincidence if you look closely.It is a sphere, the way a basketball is a sphere.
