at one point, when plants and animals were one, they shared a photo-cannabinoid receptor.

that receptor evolved in two different directions, one in all other animals (including humans), and one for the plant cannabis.

so as far as I'm concerned, despite what that book may say, if god exists, god wanted weed here and it was obviously meant for us otherwise there wouldn't be such a chemically PERFECT system for processing it in your brain.

there is NO other drug on this earth that works as smoothly in our brains as cannabis.

Yeah, after missing my HS Prom and many business ventures because of the Church, I decided Christianity wasn't really my thing.

I don't have a problem with Christianity per se, it's the CHURCH that fucks it all up. At least, that's how I see it.

I used to be catholic and I was always afraid; should i not drink/smoke/havesex/masturbate/lie/cheat, and then I grew up.... All I am saying is that you are going to have a lot of problems with following the teachings of the church and well live at all.

I can go into a lengthy conversation about why religions are more harm then good but luckily I don't care to debate against a story book.

Well I Do have a problem with Christianity, nowadays I basically see it as Publicized mass Schizophrenia.

I'm not sure of the exact quote, but it's something along the lines of "When one man suffers from delusions, we call him mad. When a group of people suffer from delusions we call it religion."

I didn't read the whole thread so I apologize in advance if I miss anything but here goes.

Yes, it is wrong if you are a christian. By this I don't mean a catholic, I mean a true, devout christian. Someone who believes every word in the Bible is true and lives accordingly. Where might you find these people? You won't, at least without searching extremely hard. My parents are members of a church like this and I was there for the first 18 years of my life and I can tell you first hand that there are people who have given up their families because they tried to witness to them and their families wouldn't have anything to do with them. This is true christianity, to give up everything you love and to live for God. You might say that weed doesn't hurt you but it does. It might not be a physical pain but it separates you from God. Instead of sitting down and reading the Bible you roll a fatty and watch tv. Instead of praying you smoke a bowl. Instead of going to church, you load up your bong and lay around all day. These distractions hurt your relationship with God. You might say that you don't need all these things to be a christian but you're wrong. To be a christian is to give up your entire life including your life if need be to glorify God. It means being a shining light to people around you every minute of every day, to show them the way to God. Not through words even, simply through actions. I bet you have never talked to one person about Christ when you are blazed and tried to convert them from their sins back to Jesus. This is what christianity is about. You'll probably say I'm a hypocrite and I am. I know what is right and what is wrong and I knowingly choose the wrong way knowing I will burn in hell one day if I do not repent. This seems strong, and it is. I don't know why I do it, but I do. I feel the Lord calling me every day to stop smoking, drinking, partying, swearing, etc. But I don't. I'm 18 with lots of life ahead of me but I will probably end up squandering it away with the "joys" of this world when there is something so much better for me. So do me a favor and really think about what you are doing.

i grew up in church was there every sunday. but not anymore because im too busy smoking pot . anyways my point is i believe the bible is the unadulterated word of god straight from him . in the book it states to obey the laws of the land and that law is marijuana is illegal . im sorry to tell you this. you can smoke weed all you want. but it doesnt make it right. now one day in the future when its legalized, thats another story

Lots of people see bibles differently... When really for all WE know is that some of these angles ( that came down from the heavens) where actually aliens! Thats the thing about ancient history, know one really knows what happened or who saw what. Its all about what you believe, only you. If you think its wrong, dont do it. If you feel its rite then what are you waiting for

Here's where it talks about drugs indirectly. None of this matters as long as you have Jesus with you guiding your life, I could murder someone today and still be saved.
